Join a network of citizens who are saying Abolish the IRS and Give Us A Fair Tax

About the Petition: It contains more than 55,000 pages … It is so complex that even those who wrote it don’t fully understand it. The “it” is the federal tax code, and more and more Americans are demanding that the time has come to abolish the IRS in favor of a “Fair Tax” system.

Mojave (aka Roscoe) is often found latching onto inane points. Points that he can only argue by containing within a narrow context -- a tunnel vision like context. When he operates from within that modus operandi most of his posts are inane one liners. Fortunately, most people are not as narrow minded as he wishes they were. The end result is that he steps on his d*ck.

I see him (her?) doing the same on the fairtax threads as he does on the WOD threads.

A note of interest is posters that are both drug warriors and anti-fairtax. There is no doubt in my mind (let there be in yours until your skepticism passes) that they have a vested interest in the government controlling the people. ...Government is the master/ruler, the people the servants/subjects.

LOL, it is an indirect tax upon use or consumption of taxable goods and services, whether you call it a duty, excise, or just plain tax is irrelavent.

The first state sales tax in the United States went into effect in West Virginia on July 1, 1921.
I know. Fact are irrelevant to the NRST cult.

You're not mine.

Do you also have an irrational fear of policemen?

For policemen, the burden of proof is on THEM.

No reason to since the article is about a flat tax. The FairTax is a totally different type of tax from ANY flat tax.

Perhaps someone will use YOUR name on it, then. Nice of you to suggest it.

Don't shudder ... just get in there and support the FairTax.

Once the grassroots support reaches a certain point it WILL happen.

Once Congress realizes it either the FairTax or the highway for them, they'll indeed vote for it. They can't afford unemployment.

Feel free to use my FReeper name. Few will believe that the first President of the Continental Congress is either alive to sign petitions or to be audited.

... and it's not "30%". that's merely another of those made up lies the anti-FairTax morons like to quote hoping it will fool the other weak-minded folks.

Each taxpayer would be greatly helped buy the FairTax since his purchasing power would be greatly increased.

By your lights, that would mean the low income person could overspend even more I suppose??? Sounds like both you AND he have problems not related to taxes.

Hardly - those would quickly be right back and probably even larger. AND you're ignoring the fact that the payroll taxes (another 7.65% or 15.3%) are added on the that "17%".

What you're talking about is idiocy. It's both more costly than the FairTax and leaves us with all the problems of an income-based tax as shown in this post.

And you don't even know what a regressive tax is.

Look it us sometime. The FairTax isn't regressive, but should rightfully be call a proportional tax system.

Nope ... there's no "dole". That's merely more of your anti-Fairtax BS,

The prebate is a refund of taxes as it the April 15 income tax refund.

Sorry, but I don't see the rationale behind your view since the IRS already has your name and certainly knows that almost everyone despises the IRS. They have to have a more solidly-grounded reason that the fact you support a tax system change ... that won't do the job.
