Prosecutor: Mackinac Bridge was target (plan for cell phones)

Tuscola County prosecutors filed terrorism-related charges Saturday against three men who they say bought dozens of cell phones Friday in Caro in a globally coordinated plot involving the Mackinac Bridge.

They charged brothers Adham Abdelhamid Othman, 21, and Louai Abdelhamied Othman, 23, along with their cousin, Maruan Awad Muhareb, 18, with identical counts of collecting material to support terrorist acts and surveillance of a vulnerable target with intent to committ terrorism.

(As a side note, we were in Vegas the 3ird week of July, some strange muslem types walking around in NYNY. I enjoy spending a little time plane watching while the wife is still in the hotel room primping. There was a very strange person at the airport observation parking lot on Sunset, he was very secretive - he hung a shirt up on his window to block his face, and occasionally looked at me, I only was able to see his "sunglasses". Being an informed Freeper, I was concerned, I went to the post office near there, a postal (passport) clerk suggest I drive by, if he was there go to the gas station and call 311 to report him. He was gone when I drove by.
After the events unfolded last Thursday, I was concerned that I was not able to report him, BTW: his older white Caddy was LOADED down with weight!)

With respect, you likely don't live on an isolated island in Lake Michigan as I do. It is a small step, in my mind, from isolating an island by dropping a bridge to isolating an island by disabling a ferry.

You are going to be very, very busy outlawing all communications. FRS, CB, HAM, and- get this - ALL VoIP and wireless data communications. No more wireless data for you. Somebody could hook up a wireless modem, Blackberry, or who knows what. Oh, I know! We need to register ALL communications devices. We can call it a "CDOID". Communications Device Owner IDentification. BRILLIANT! Let's petition Congress to expand the TSA, or create a sub-group called C(ommunications)SA.

Yes, I think we'll be seeing some serious restrictions on cell phones in the coming months.

The enemy is living freely among us, in large numbers, and plotting all sorts of mayhem and murder. They are almost invariably young Muslim men, citizens or otherwise. It is quite possible that there is a plan in the works for multiple, simultaneous attacks all across the United States, sometime in the near future.

When this is all said and done, these young men might have to be physically removed from our country, if we are to survive. A declaration of martial law would be a foregone conclusion if we were to suffer a truly devastating attack, and I don't believe America would stand for any of these young men remaining among us to continue to threaten us any further. Neither would we stand for their mosques continuing to preach hate and destruction every Friday afternoon.

This is not what the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of religion was meant to protect. Practicing one's religion does not include the right to commit mass murder.
