"The US and Israel Stand Alone" [Carter barf alert]
SPIEGEL Magazine ^ | August 15, 2006

Posted on 08/16/2006 9:48:09 AM PDT by ncountylee

Former US president Jimmy Carter speaks with DER SPIEGEL about the danger posed to American values by George W. Bush, the difficult situation in the Middle East and Cuba's ailing Fidel Castro.

SPIEGEL: Mr. Carter, in your new book you write that only the American people can ensure that the US government returns to the country's old moral principles. Are you suggesting that the current US administration of George W. Bush of acting immorally?

Carter: There's no doubt that this administration has made a radical and unpressured departure from the basic policies of all previous administrations including those of both Republican and Democratic presidents.

SPIEGEL: For example?

Carter: Under all of its predecessors there was a commitment to peace instead of preemptive war. Our country always had a policy of not going to war unless our own security was directly threatened and now we have a new policy of going to war on a preemptive basis. Another very serious departure from past policies is the separation of church and state, which I describe in the book. This has been a policy since the time of Thomas Jefferson and my own religious beliefs are compatible with this. The other principle that I described in the book is basic justice. We've never had an administration before that so overtly and clearly and consistently passed tax reform bills that were uniquely targeted to benefit the richest people in our country at the expense or the detriment of the working families of America.

Jimmy Carter was probably a functional nuclear submarine engineering officer, and that was the last thing he did that was noteworthy.

Maybe her was a functional nuclear submarine officer, and maybe it was just our good luck that he moved on to peanut farming quickly.

Actually, Clark was LBJ's AG.

Carter's was Griffin Bell (admittedly, a name of towering stature in legal annals, so much so that I had to go to Google to find him)....

God, this is disgusting. Having to stand up for Jimmy Carter! But the truth is the truth, so here goes.

Ramsey Clark was AG for LBJ.

Never, ever, make me do that again.

Jimmy Carter is a subhuman POS who should burn in hell for what he did to this country (and I daresay the rest of the world). He is the most miserable failure of a leader in US (and possibly world) history. Why anybody of any political leaning would continue to listen to his warmed-over bullsh!t is beyond me.

If Mr. Peanut had gone to war when we were attacked, an attack on an embassy being the same as an attack on the country, there would be no Iran problem today.

To all

Sorry.

I will never forget that worthless piece of $@#((* was AG for Lyndon Johnson and not Jimmy Carter.

How old is that old s.o.b. (Clark)? He has been slithering around far too long.

Well, you're correct about that. I guess that's so far back we don't have any feeling for it (maybe the Pali's don't, either).

In any case, it's another good lesson that "conquering" ALWAYS happens and has happened to every (just about) population, regardless of race, religion, size, anything. To try to rectify everything back to its original point would be nothing short of ludicrous. So whining about ancient "siezures" really is moot, esp. when the whiner's ancestors probably also "seized" it from someone ELSE.

It's the quality of one's friends that count, not the quantity.

As Patton once said, "I'd rather have a German division in front of me, than a French one behind me..."

Adding to your list, let's also remember that it was this POS who turned to the Soviets, both in 1980 and 1984 (still in the middle of a Cold War), asking them for help in defeating Reagan.

According to Peter Schweizer's book, it was during the 1980 campaign when Carter sent Armand Hammer to the Soviet Embassy for a secret meeting with Ambassador Dobrynin to ask for this assistance...specifically with Jewish emigration and other potential vote-getting issues. The Soviets were promised that "Carter won't forget that service if he is re-elected."

Carter: No, as a matter of fact, the concerns I exposed have gotten even worse now with the United States supporting and encouraging Israel in its unjustified attack on Lebanon. SPIEGEL: But wasn't Israel the first to get attacked? Carter: I don't think that Israel has any legal or moral justification for their massive bombing of the entire nation of Lebanon. What happened is that Israel is holding almost 10,000 prisoners, so when the militants in Lebanon or in Gaza take one or two soldiers, Israel looks upon this as a justification for an attack on the civilian population of Lebanon and Gaza. I do not think that's justified, no.

Every times this moron opens his mouth he gives support to our enemies. His UN Ambassador Andrew Young stated if successful, Iran's IslamiNazi leader Khomeini would "eventually be hailed as a saint." Carter wanted the Iranian Mullahs to succeed. His administration was filled with Leftist fools. Carter is the real Manchurian Candidate who became POTUS.

Former US president Jimmy Carter speaks

Castro's dead. Isn't it time for other politicians with the last name starting with the letter C to pass on from natural causes?
