Because of Ahmadinejad's goal of ushering in the coming of the Mahdi, I thought for context that these film clips, pointed out on another forum, would be interesting to Freepers for Context.
It helps to explain his and other people's mindset. It is from an Islamic point of view, and interestingly refers to 9/11 as a Terrorist attack.

I think Savonarola probably was a true Christian. However, he did not act "Christianly" all of the time. You always have to take people in the context of their times. Was Martin Luther anti-semitic? Maybe. He certainly made some anti-semitic comments. But he may have been more anti-anything-but-Lutheran/Christian. Still, if he was truly anti-semitic, it would not have been unusual for his times and the area he grew up in at all. People are human. Even Christians! Especially Christians. And some are more human than others.

Groovejedi, have you ever looked at the traits of Prophet Mohammed? Surely if you are not ignorant, you have looked to see what his characteristics were, the person he was, what he believed in. Were his beliefs that different from Jews or Christians? As people don’t we have a obligation to respect other religions. Why do you have so much hatred, hatred against an individual who believed in God, believed in peace, respect, and good things for all people.
There are bad people in this world who use religion as a means to get what they want done, whether it be right or wrong. They manipulate people and brainwash others. This is done by all different people from different religions. Just because bad Muslims are doing it now doesn’t mean we ridicule the religion.
In the time of slavery, was Christianity looked down upon because Christians at the time were using the name of God to enforce and carry out slavery? Or when Spanish Catholics destroyed the Inca, Mayan, and Aztec civilizations by using the name of God, was the religion hated on. NO!! The people were bad, who used such a great thing as religion to spread evil, or what they thought was ok. Which in reality is not ok.
So before you go mock or say bad things about someone who only wished the best for people of all religions, someone who pleaded with God to have mercy on us, know your history.
