Pretty mundane column but the comment about former singer Linda Ronstadt is choice!
To: Chi-townChief
Didn't she already suffer a smackdown at one of her shows in Las Vegas?

I'm embarrassed that Linda Ronstadt is from the United States.
Shut up and sing, ay?

She also suffers a snackdown every fifteen to twenty minutes.

It's not like the masses are listening to this moron anymore anyways
When you're some has-been who has long since made your money I guess you can afford to be an idiot.

Just an aside: back in the 70's, the plant I worked at actually had piped in music and if you were in a quiet area, you could hear it real well. Linda's inferior version of Blue Bayou would come on about the same time every morning and this old guy I worked with would always say, "There's that broad screaming again - I gotta get outta here" and he would leave the room.

Poor, Poor, Pitiful Her, I say.
Saw her once in concert, back in the late Devouring Period. Had the stage presence of one of the mike stands.
Nice voice, though, back in the day. Let's all remember she was the periodic squeeze for Governor Moonbeam.
Those birds flock together, but nobody cares.

Me and my wife and another couple went to a Santana concert here in Phoenix last month. After two songs, the jerk trashed President Bush. We yelled back at him, gave him the all American high sign, then we and demanded our money back.
They gave us our money and we went home happy.

Santana is an a-hole from wayyyyyy back; I saw him about 15 or so years ago and, between just about every some, he basically discussed how impressed he is with himself.

I hear that her concerts are really short because after she sings her first song everybody leaves because they think it's over.

I'm embarrassed George Bush is from the United States." Well if he wasn't, there'd be lots more embarrassed people.

I guess that Michael name for a women was more common at one time then it is now. Many years ago, I had a lady history teacher named (for real) Michael Ajax; still cracks me up!
To: BelegStrongbow
Ronstadt is just a sixties something, solo version
of a cover band..pretending that playing tired
50 year old OPS(other peoples songs), makes her
somehow, relevant.
Just another 'Ghoul of Sixties Past', like Sheehan.
Trying to feed off the angst of a new and
gullible generation unaware of the travesty these
defenerates inflicted on the US the last time.
