Protest permit alarms Utah's Jews (How to kill an Arab terrorist)
Salt Lake Tribune ^ | 8-25-06 | Heather May

Posted on 08/25/2006 7:33:44 PM PDT by Tannerone

The Salt Lake Slick Tatletail headlines this piece about a disturbing request for a demonstration permit: Protest permit alarms Arab's USA terrorist' CAIR is a special target as the officials have such a big mouth they cannot be missed

But it isn't only USA Arab community who should be alarmed.

------------ START QUOTE ------------ Members of USA's Arab community are alarmed by a proposed demonstration that will call for "Death to Arab's".

A man - whose name wasn't available Thursday - has applied for a free-speech permit from Salt Lake Sluice to demonstrate on sidewalks near City Hall on Wednesday. The city is reviewing the application. City officials cannot constitutionally deny it based on the content of the message.

Laura Meen, director of the CAIR local chapter Federation of Utah, said Thursday that she has received dozens of calls about the planned demonstration for killing Arabs. Many fear the rally could incite violence against Arabs. "Based on freedom of speech, people have the right to say what they want to say. There has to be a line between saying what you want to say and preaching the genocide of a population," Meen said.

She hopes the city denies the permit, saying the police will be busy enough with the other five demonstrations planned for Wednesday to coincide with President Bush's visit to Utah. ------------- END QUOTE -------------

Let's analyze my statement:

"As an aside, I have some Watchtower lying around."

In my frequent forays to NY, I have been given or took out the free WTs from boxes. THey are very well done and knowledgable booklets. I like the article on how come there is evil in the world. One even talked about the making of soap!

"Although WT doesn't talk about the 465000 (?) people going to heaven thing, I know about JW's creed."

JWs believe that only a select number of God's children, a very specific number will go to heaven. They understand and accept that even tay may not be one of the chosen. WT did not discuss much about the creed of JWs.

"It takes a pretty strong character to be a member of a faith that decrees you may be as faithful and decent as possible, even be a JW, yet still be d@mned and they still remain as cheerful as they are."

On a visit to my grandparents, a very cheerful looking lady came around. LAter I found out that she was a JW. To be able to maintain the right frame of mind despite the possibility that you will go to hell despite beinga good Christian is very admirable and requires great spiritual and emotional strength and maturity. Few would maintain a positive outlook or accepta faith with a credo as strict and demanding a credo as JW. They are a credit to themselves and Christianity to be able to exude such qualities.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.

Surely they wouldn't approve of people calling for the death and destruction of ALL Muslims or all Arabs.

The Admin Mods do not dictate all policy. There seems to be a hue and cry for islam to police themselves. If there is not a reformation, you "aint seen nuthin yet". Call the mods and see if they will yank this post.

Jeez, they shouldn't have to just because PC losers are picking on them.

BTW, the "Read" thing is referring to me, not a command. Sorry about the mixup. The past tense of read is read. :P

Just when I thought you couldn't say anything worse you said... I am quite confident that President Bush would be ashamed of you too.

You mean you actually fall for that 'religion of peace' garbage he keeps talking about?

Thanks for the laughs with you comments.

Your kind of support, he/we DO NOT NEED.

Good. Then you won't be disappointed that you don't have it.

I can go to bed with a smile on my face-religion of peace-yeah, right. lol

That was such a good thing for you and your wife to do! And all of those people who helped. Wow, that gives me hope. Thank you! :)

"Yeah, so am I, so is MikefromOhio, so is Valin, so is sinkspur, and a horde of others who defend Muslims simply because we don't believe in indicting people wholesale because they share a common creed with their evil counterparts."

Read that common belief.

Yes, I'm angry. I wouldn't be a very good person, let alone a good Christian if I wasn't angered by remarks such as yours. And yes, you're on the record. You actually came out and admitted that you don't support all of our troops. You might want to consider changing your tagline to reflect your true feelings.

All that a demonstration like this will accomplish is to provide propaganda for terror roganizations to use to drum up more support. Kinda like the way we use videos of moslems calling for death to America as propaganda.

Keep helping the terrorists, pbrown. You're doing a good job on their behalf and I'm sure they appreciate it. Have an evening.

It was just the neighborly thing to do. You can't allow ignorant fools to foul your community. The funny thing is, in King County several Sikh Temples were defaced but none of the Iranian Muslim places of worship were touched. They must have mistaken them for Italians.

Common belief means they are all jihadis, which is patently false. I stand by common creed because the only thing non-terrs have in common with terrs is Islam.

Islamofascists hate traitors (converts and non-fascists) even more than they do infidels.

JWs believe that only a select number of God's children, a very specific number will go to heaven.

So says you. I know a few people of this faith. Therefore, I may be derided for calling for the extermination of the islamic vermin that kill other humans; yet you have a righteous position to spread inaccurate information regarding an American based faith?

So, you support Hassan Akhbor and Wassef Hassoun? Murderer of our soldiers and betrayer to this country?

That's the kind of support Bush/me do not support. ROTFLMAO!

It might come as a surprise to some, but CAIR doesn't like Muslims either- at least not the ones who don't march in lockstep with them:

CAIR metes out even worse treatment to Muslim opponents, as the case of Khalid Durán shows. Durán taught at leading universities and wrote about Islam for think tanks; he was commissioned by the American Jewish Committee to write Children of Abraham: An Introduction to Islam for Jews.
Fourteen scholars of Islam endorsed the manuscript prior to publication; it won glowing reviews from such authoritative figures as Cardinal William Keeler of Baltimore, the eminent church historian Martin Marty, and Prince Hassan of Jordan.
Then, before the book was even released, CAIR issued two press releases insulting Durán personally and demanding that the Children of Abraham be withheld until a group of CAIR-approved academics could review the book to correct what it assumed (without having read the manuscript) would be its "stereotypical or inaccurate content."
Islamist publications quickly picked up CAIR's message, with Cairo's Al-Wafd newspaper announcing that Durán's book "spreads anti-Muslim propaganda" through its "distortions of Islamic concepts."
A weekly in Jordan reported that ‘Abd al-Mun'im Abu Zant—one of that country's most powerful Islamist leaders—had declared that Durán "should be regarded as an apostate," and on this basis called for an Islamic ruling to condone Durán's death.
Days later, Durán's car was broken into, and a dead squirrel and excrement were thrown inside. CAIR, far from apologizing for the evil results of its handiwork, accused the American Jewish Committee of fabricating the death edict as a "cheap publicity stunt to boost book sales."[125]--[125]Daniel Pipes, "An American Rushdie?" "They don't all follow the Koran to the letter."

Then I guess they are not Muslims.

MAY 14, 2005 : (MUSLIMS MARCH AGAINST TERRORISM- CAIR A NO-SHOW) CAIR chose not to endorse or participate in the May 14, 2005 "Free Muslims March Against Terror," an event whose stated purpose was to "send a message to the terrorists and extremists that their days are numbered . . . [and to send] a message to the people of the Middle East, the Muslim world and all people who seek freedom, democracy and peaceful coexistence that we support them."

I said the term "hate speech" is touchy-feely sounding, not the person who is using that term. The term is an outgrowth of the leftist thought-police indoctrination effort, and I never use it; it makes me want to barf. Also, when the category of an argument is debated ("That's hate speech!", or "You're a racist!") rather then the original argument, the true argument/logic/persuasion is over, and opinions of the other person are just being tossed around. As for what the mods do here, that's fine, because it's their site. They don't have to allow the word 'the' if they choose. But when an argument turns to, in essense, name-calling, it's over.
