I have never viewed Kean as anything but a RINO....right there with Snowe, Collins, Graham and McLame.

I couldn't vote for a liberal and I can't vote for Kean. If I lived in New Jersey, its one more reason he deserves to lose. There isn't any difference between him and the Democrat when it comes to issues of concern to conservatives.

It's New Jersey, a deep blue state, so he's doing what he has to do. Republicans have to make some concessions to liberals to win Federal elections there.
However, IMHO, he's trying way too hard. Independence is all fine and good, but his tone is going beyond that. If he were running for Governor, I'd totally oppose him.
However, because he's running for the U.S. Senate, the only logical thing for conservatives to do is hold their noses and vote for him.

Ah, yes, another moderate stabbing a fellow party member in the back. Why, exactly, are we conservatives supposed to get along with these people? They are just liberals with an "R" next to their names. On top of that, Kean and his ilk are idiots, making them doubly annoying.
To: Coleus
I don't know which prospect is worse:
He really believes all these things he is saying and is still calling himself a republican; or
He is just saying all this stuff to get elected, and will be a different person after the election.
And what is with hot water with lemon wedges?

I thought that his father, Tom Kean, Sr.,was pretty willing to be critical of President Bush and a little too forgiving of WJ Clinton during the 9-11 hearings. Like father, like son. However, if I lived in NJ, I would vote for him in a New York minute. Menendez gives me the creeps in addition to the fact that he is most likely corrupt.

I will vote against Kean, I will not vote for him, no matter what.
We in New Jersey, will have to wait at least one more cycle to try to get a real Republican Senator. The RINOs in our state need to be taught a lesson.

I don't necessarily disagree with Kean on anything except the "horredous" mistakes. Why characterize it that way? The other stuff, I can see his point, but I still don't like the tone. No need for that, unless it is politically expedient, which it may be.

Kean had all the time in the world to complain and criticize Bush' handling of every thing he has ever done. Yet when asked for examples, (just the facts,Kean) his response was, "How much time do we have?"
However much time it takes, Kean; give us some specifics and while you are at it, tell us how you would have done things better?

I'm so glad I'm not voting for this worm. If you ask me, putting this guy in office would be worse than Menendez. It would be a setback for conservatives in NJ--we really would have no party representation at all in the state.

You know, the more I read about the likes of Tom Kean Jr. and Lincoln Chafee, it gives me a little solace; for this reason:
If the GOP does get their butts handed to them on November 7, I will take comfort in the fact that "we got what we deserved". "What goes around, comes around". "You reap what you sow". "Sleep with the dogs, end up with fleas". "If you're going to dance, someone has to pay the fiddler".
I'll stop there. Can't think of anymore appropriate addages at the moment. Just keep it up Mr. Kean and Mr. Chafee; remembering you will help comfort me on election night if need be.
