When they enemy has no rules, you play by his rules.

Could have saved them some trouble of having to take them to cemetery. Maybe could have even got a group rate from the undertakers.

Looks bad. But people should chill until all the facts are known. That picture could be something totally different that what it is said to be. Lets wait for the facts.

The question is are we always going to take the high ground when it's obvious that to win this war we may have to get down and dirty in the low ground?

If the concept of preemptive defense can be used on a national scale, why can't a preemptive funeral be conducted on a small scale? A nice big bomb, then send out some helicopters with slings of dirt underneath. As a nice touch, carry along a priest to say some words. There. Mission accomplished.

That WAS stupid! This political incorrectness will be the death of us all. Muslims BLOW EACH UP OTHER UP AT FUNERALS AND IN CEMETERIES. They're dumb as a bunch of rocks at the Pentagon!

Fighting a "nicer, less lethal" war are we?
To: NormsRevenge
Epitome of stupidity and gutlessness. We let 190 murderers live so they can live another day to shoot our guys?!
We were not targeting cemetaries, the enemy just happened to be in a cemetary.
America is not fighting a war. We're JO'n the PC crowd while our guys get shot at by the enemy that could have been taken out with the press of a button.
Hey general!

Gawd Almighty. What a wasted opportunity for the sake of moral equivocation. Those Klingons would kill babies in their cribs if given the chance and we offer them a timeout in the corner of the school room. And what a no-fuss, all-in-one way to dispose of them, to boot. They're already in the boneyard - just make a hole and blow 'em into it.

NBC News claimed U.S. Army officers wanted to attack the ceremony with missiles carried by an unmanned Predator drone but were prevented under rules of battlefield engagement that bar attacks on cemeteries. Is NBC making this up, or are there actual written rules about this?

The article said -- "The U.S. military acknowledged Wednesday that it considered bombing a group of more than 100 Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan but decided not to after determining they were on the grounds of a cemetery."
Man..., we could have killed and buried them at the same time. Some people just don't know how to fight a war.
