E' dead woman the scrittrice Oriana Fallaci

Passed away to 77 years to Florence celebre the author: it suffered from some years of a badly incurabile one

FLORENCE - E' died to Florence the scrittrice Oriana Fallaci. It had 77 years, was plagued from some years from a badly incurabile one. It second seems that the journalist was ricoverata from some day in a hospital fiorentino where, its precise dispositions, the stay in hospital has happened in the most tightened riserbo.

The funerals will be carried out in closely private shape

Tribute to Oriana Fallaci's Moral Clarity !

The great Oriana Fallaci has died. She was loved and appreciated here. Let her free spirit rest in peace!
See discussions on her articles or about her:

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

Rest in peace Oriana. I hope at least some Europeans heard your views and learned from them.

The world just lost a warrior princess.

This WP wanna-be says to the genuine article, rest in peace, Oriana. Well done.

The white guys seem to be betting on a kumbayah rally to clear things up.

You forgot to use the words, "boomer, hippie, pinko" in your description of us. For shame!

She should be given a state funeral!

I hope her heaven is an Italianized Florence and a NYC (her adopted hometown)with celestially restored Twin Towers.

When will we see her likes again?

As the Islamists compare the pope to Mussolini, a fighter against his fascism passes away. Chilling irony.

RIP-she was a beacon of light shining the truth on the ugly truth of Islam.

<< The world just lost a warrior princess. >>

What a mind.

What courage.

What a love of and lust for life.

What a loss.

May she have made her peace with the Catholicism of her infancy and may, please, Dear Lord, the gates of Heaven have been swung wide to admit her carriage!

Amen

I was just referencing her today in a debate. While I knew she was ill I had hoped for more time, more writing on the issue of the day. Reading her last 2 books I found myself pausing every few paragraphs just to catch my breath. I will miss her very much. She may not have believed in God, but I have little doubt that he believed in her.

So sorry to hear it. She was one of my favorite writers.

Naturally, my Mother Land, my Italy, is not today’s Italy. The Italy of leisure time, a little sly, vulgar of those Italians whose only goal in life is to retire before reaching 50 and whose only passions are foreign vacations and soccer games. The bad, stupid, cowardly Italy, of the little hyenas who in order to be able to shake hands with a Hollywood celebrity would sell their own daughters to a Beirut bordello and who when the kamikaze of Osama Bin Laden reduce thousands of New Yorkers into a mountain of ashes that looks like ground coffee, scornfully say “it serves them right.” -- Oriana Fallaci

A great defender of America culture and values who was so much hated by Muslims and the European intelligentsia will never undermine the profound effect her books had in the minds and hearts of her readers.

Rest in eternal peace, Oriana.
