Fricken weirdo.
exactly right. How can anybody accuse the GOP of not showing leadership over this?
Foley should leave the country---for good.
FINALLY!!
LMAO..this is going to blow up in the dems face! CREW website is down..they know we are following the trail of this crap. This is going to equal the famous freeper expose' of CBS and Dan Rather before it is over!
BETCHA.....
I don't believe AP has to be excerpted.
"As Speaker of the House, I hereby request that the Department of Justice conduct an investigation of Mr. Foley's conduct with current and former House pages to determine to what extent any of his actions violated federal law," Hastert wrote in a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
Best to learn the true extent of this scandal asap, rather than to let the Rats make up stories. Did physical molestation take place? is what needs to be learned.
I wonder what ever happened to that Dem congressman who had $90k in his Capitol Hill freezer? Or the one that hit the Capitol Hill police officer? Or the one that hit the barricade at 2am on his way to a vote? Or the one who's girlfriend was found in a Virginia park? Or the President that used his influence to get an intern to have sex with him in the Oval Office?
Smartest move made yet.
Isn't it a real shame that Hastert did not send this strong message some time ago ... when this first came to his attention ... and while Foley was still a member of the House of Representatives?!
LOL, good troll bait thread!
Already spotted quite a few today, thanks.
If he knew as reported 2 months ago about this, it is a dollar short and a month or two late.
Anyone who believes that this will be the death knell of Republicans in the mid-terms is smoking crack. Nobody gives a feces about this scandal other than bloggers and the MSM, as Foley is not on the ballot in all Congressional races. Conservatives will shrug and continue to vote for their Republican candidates. Foley resigned quickly, that right there alone killed off half of the Dim/MSM future talking points, plotting, and strategy. Even the Dim candidate down in FL won't win. The district is solidly Republican.
A little late to close the barn door, Denny.
Could you imagine any Rat doing this to Bawney Frank?
Chandra Levy .Remember her?
This harrasment of congressional pages has gone on long enough. Time to put someone on the fire.
I think the GOP is on strong ground here.
EVen FNC is getting it wrong. Juan Williams was a COMPLETE BOOB in getting the difference between house emails and Instant Massages confused.
The round table botched the distinction.
The sex messages were disclosed by ABC friday as part of a story dump for friday. (they red shirted the story)
The ENTIRE media is dancing around the fact that a homsoexual was trying to sexually recruit a minor.
If this incubates for a few weeks it will have the effect of boosting marriage amendment passages up for referendum.
Agreed.
Lets see how it ended when a Dem was gay for an intern?
Studds is remembered chiefly for his role in the 1983 Congressional page sex scandal, when he and Representative Dan Crane were censured by the House of Representatives for separate sexual relationships with a minor in Studds's case, a 1973 relationship with a 17-year-old male congressional page. The relationship was consensual, but violated age of consent laws and presented ethical concerns relating to working relationships with subordinates.
During the course of the House Ethics Committee's investigation, Studds publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, a disclosure that, according to a Washington Post article, "apparently was not news to many of his constituents." Studds stated in an address to the House, "It is not a simple task for any of us to meet adequately the obligations of either public or private life, let alone both, but these challenges are made substantially more complex when one is, as I am, both an elected public official and gay."
As the House read their censure of him, Studds turned his back and ignored them. Later, at a press conference with the former page standing beside him, the two stated that what had happened between them was nobody's business but their own. (Wikipedia)
