The following are photographs sent to me by SoldiersPrayingMom of the Freep held this weekend. She says that lots of drivers honked enthusiastically! Thought you all would like to see them.

And one final picture... although it unfortunately came out blurry, shows why we are fighting for our country... to preserve it for our children:

Even though I like the picture of Jim, my favorite is of the young girl holding the sign that says, "We all came from another country. We all become Americans." Nicely put. Frames the issue of immigration properly...we aren't against immigration, but for assimilation.

"We ALL came from another country......
We ALL became...RED...WHITE...and BLUE
AMERICANS"

That was my very favorite one too!

Simple, "but straight to the point!

Woo hoo!! Grate pics!!

We had a great rally in Fresno last night. There were about a hundred of us countering two groups of antiwar leftists. There were a couple dozen Peace Fresno antiwar socialists on one corner and a half dozen or so pro Palestinian/pro Islamic fascist leftists on another. Then us on our corner. But we had a sound truck. And we blasted out patriotic music and military marches that reverberated loudly over the entire battlefield. The poor peaceniks didn't stand a chance. Out numbered, out smarted and out gunned at every turn, they were finally blasted out, surrendered the field and retreated early to their snake holes.

Freepers present:

Me and Sheila
JustAmy
PrissyMissy
Mama_Bear
JKPhoto
SoldiersPrayingMom
90+ members of the Riverdale Assembly of God with signs, American flags, flags of every service, and 1 sound truck.

The rest is history!!

I wish that people in my community would come together like these people and demonstrate their support for our troops (instead of those who stand on a corner in our down town area protesting our troops). My oldest son stands alone on a corner just down the street from these cretins holding up a sign which reads "I stand with President Bush and our Troops". He does this most saturdays for hours, all alone. This saturday he was screamed at with "murderer" and accosted by several of the "peace" protesters who came to his corner and got into his face. That is the level of support displayed in our city (Chico, CA). What a shame.

By the way thanks for the post and the great pictures! And we owe a special debt of gratitude to the youth group of the Riverdale Assembly of God. This is the second rally in a row that they turned out in large numbers. What a great bunch of patriotic kids! Nice kids like these coming up gives us great hopes for America's future. God bless them all.
