An Open Letter to Former President Bill Clinton By Jenni Vinson Trejo
October 13, 2006

Your appearance before a fundraising group in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday spurred the need for writing to you. I realize that it may be impossible for a Liberal’s mind to concentrate on the direct connection between actions and consequences and accepting that fact, I am writing to you in hopes of offering you the focus you lack. Perhaps if you see this in writing you will be able to recognize what the majority of us in America see and know.

I’ll keep this as simple as possible so that you are able to follow along, realizing again that a Liberal mind chases a phelthora of lofty notions at the speed of light.

1. Lofty notions are always a commodity, but when America is in need of leaders who are capable of sticking with a task until it’s completion, lofty notions are a luxury that should be placed in a proper perspective. Get the chores done and then you can day-dream. Sir, Americans depend on our leaders for safety in this Post 9-11 era we have taken into not by George W. Bush, but by terrorists. Please stay focused. It’s a matter of life and death.

2. You said, "For six years this country has been totally dominated - not by the Republican Party, this is not fair to the Republican Party - by a narrow sliver of the Republican Party, its more right-wing and its most ideological element."

Sir, over the past six years the Democrats lost the Presidency, the House and the Senate. Do you not see the correlation between how far LEFT your party leaders have taken the Democrats and all of these loses? Considering that you and your wife are the ultimate leaders within your party, you should know this.

3. You said, "When the chips are down, this country has been jammed to the right, jammed into an ideological corner, alienated from its allies, and we're in a lot of trouble,".

Sir, do you not see a direct correlation between votes and leadership? America has not been “dominated” as you say. Americans have opted to use their vote to choose their leadership. It has been the Democrats who have sought to impose their rule even though they lost elections.

On this we agree, the Democrats have been in “a lot of trouble”, but instead of making a concerted attempt at changing the path that took them down a losing streak, they plowed on down, accelerating their speed and downward spiral, refusing to acknowledge that their views do not match the views of the American voter.

4. Further, Sir, you are at a serious disadvantage as you attempt to direct this discourse. You see, not much time has passed since you held the office of the U.S. Presidency. We don’t really need for you to retell the stories. Many of us have our own recollections and if we need a refresher, the Internet provides us with plenty of data.

5. Sir, the mess in Korea was instigated by you. If you and your Administration had not tried to make a “friend” out of a maniacal, untrustworthy Kim Jong-Il in North Korea; had you not lead him to believe that America would bend over backwards to appease him; had you not given him the technology to develop nuclear capability taking his “word of honor” (some would find this laughable since neither of you have shown a propensity towards honor) that he would only use it to develop household energy, we would not be in the trouble you see now.

6. Sir, impress on your party (that would be on you and your wife) that America would fare better in the global community were we not constantly undermined by the Democrats whose penchant has been towards creating these rifts among our allies. Please consider that IF your party (your wife) should ever win the office of the Presidency (please express to her that my prayers are fervent on this topic and that I plead with God on a regular basis about such a possibility.) your party will, at such a time, be left to deal with the mess you have created in the global community.

You cannot create a scorched Earth environment to expel an opponent and expect it to be immediately productive just because you inhabit it. Ask your buddy Al Gore. Your party has failed to take into account that their scorched Earth game plan will leave all Americans Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats and Republicans ALL at risk for being over taken by an attack from a ruthless enemy who sees any weaknesses as an opportunity to murder and eradicate Americans.

7. You said, "The Democratic Party has become the liberal and conservative party in America. If you want to be fiscally conservative, you've got to be for us. If you want to conserve natural resources, you've got to be for us," he said. "If you want a change of course in Iraq ... you've got to be for us."

Sir, you are NOT the party of the conservative, no matter how often you manage to say it. You are the party of Harry Reid whose home turf you were speaking to in Las Vegas, with no shame or regard for the scandal he is embroiled in. I’m sure you would not see the making of profit on a “LAND DEAL” to be of any consequence and even if you did you have no moral authority to correct your associate since you and your wife profited plenty in your haydays.

You are the party of John Mutha who wants to cut and run out of Iraq and leave that area exposed to the same atrocities that occurred after America cut and run from Vietnam.

You are the party of John Kerry who was instrumental in forcing the hand of America in the Vietnam cut and run that cost the lives of thousands of American soldiers (we would have fared better and the North Vietnamese would not have been so bold had America not been so divided by rhetoric)and the lives of MILLIONS of Vietnamese who were murdered after abandoned them.

You are the party of Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy and the ACLU who limits the civil rights of Americans and bolsters the rights of those who seek to kill us on this war on terror.

You, Sir, are the party of Liberals who now call for the United States of America to bow before Iran and Korea in defeat and surrender in a dilussional hopes that they will mercifully leave us alone.

8. You said you were embarrassed by America’s debate on immigration because Mexico has become one of our top 10 creditors, “These people are our bankers," Clinton said. "Doesn't it embarrass you that these poor people are trying to sneak over the Rio Grande River to find a living in this country and we want to stop that? But we're only too happy to turn around and say, 'Don't spend your own money on those poor illegal immigrants to give them an education and get a job in Mexico. Loan it to us”. No, Sir, I am not embarrassed about wanting to uphold America’s sovereignty. I would ask YOU, Sir, did you not take an oath to uphold the Constitution and the laws of this land? Is not one of those laws “legal entry” into this country? Should you not have a problem with those who enter into this country illegally?

Sir, what you propose is that Mexico be given free reign to utilize America as it’s own market,as if our sovereignty and ability to direct our own future do not matter.

What you propose is that our laws are for sale? Would you further propose that they should be auctioned to the highest bidder?

Mexico certainly doesn’t have much capital and they certainly are NOT America's benefactor as you state. They rely on the money sent back to them as their government’s third largest income. Mexico is beholden to us!

Should we open this same invitation you propose America owes Mexico, to richer nations who could pay us more? Should we allow unfettered accessof our borders to other nations so long as we profit from it? What good would it be if a nation "gain the world, but lose it's soul"? We would cease to be a "nation". We would cease to be America!

Is this a precurser attempt at collecting campaign contributions for the Hillary in '08 campaign from-say-- the CHINESE? There are alot of Chinese who would love to come into America for work and a better way of life and there is certainly alot of money to be garnished from that government as you already know. That would certainly be a profitable venture.

But Sir, what would you do about diseases that go unchecked and about the lowered rate of pay that happens when America’s job market gets flooded by cheaper labor?

The issue of Immigration and your proposed carriage of it completely embodies what will be your legacy- The Illogical Whims of William Jefferson Clinton.

In closing, I sincerely hope my letter gets to you and that you opt to reply.

I’m Jenni Vinson Trejo. An Open Letter to Former President Bill Clinton is My Opinion. Thank you for listening.

It would have been nice if someone had talked to that boy's head when he was a kid; but they didn't. His momma left him with the impression that he pooped pure platinum and urinated liquid gold, and he's too old now to learn otherwise. He and Hillary (daddy's little darlin' who can do ANYTHING she wants to do when she grows up) Rodham richly deserve each other - and the American people deserve better.

What a horrible state of affairs. Shudder.

This is good except for the fact the author keeps saying "sir" to the rapist of women and the military.

President Clinton had only one goal his intire life--to be popular. Every day in the White House he gathered his staff around and worked out a strategy on remaining popular. In this task, he was absolutely fantastic....great even. However, he never once did anything for the the United States of America. Oh sure, sometimes what was best for him was also best for the country but, that was rare.

The Korean thing was a classic example. Confronting that regime would have been stressful. Clinton would have to ask the nation to hang in with him. This would have driven down his poll ratings. So, he chose cutting a phoney deal, declared victory, and told the country all was well. This is just classic Clinton (and classic 60's mentallity).

Bush, as bad and awkward as he can be in front of a microphone, is al least trying his best to do what's right for the cause of human freedom. He seems to understand that ultmately it isn't about him. It's about the country.

Clinton on the other hand used the Presidency to score chicks. What else do you need to know?

Jenni, what is your affiliation with KEYS 1440 in Corpus Christi? Just curious - grew up in Corpus and lived there before moving to the Dallas area.

Great letter. My feelings exactly.
