Campus Fusion brings "Week of Dialogue" to The University of Texas at Austin Sponsored by The University Co-op, The Multicultural Information Center, and Student Government

Campus Fusion, a collaborative vision built by the Multicultural Information Center and Student Government at The University of Texas at Austin, and sponsored by The University Co-Op, brings a "Week of Dialogue" to campus from October 16-19.

Through different programs during the week-long event, the campus community recognizes the importance of talking about diversity issues at the University.

The Kick-off Rally took place this morning on Gregory Plaza and in the Gregory concourse.

Also on Monday, October 16, the Gender and Sexuality Center at The University of Texas at Austin will be holding Love Your Body Day at 8 pm in the Texas Union's Santa Rita Room. Love Your Body Day will feature Raci Ignacio, star of Transgenerations, and Marilyn Wann, author of Fat!So?.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: campus; homosexualagenda; texas; university; ut; uta
All University of Texas students received the above email on "Love your Body Day". I thought anyone with a kid at UT might be interested.

Do we really need to spend state money to do this? My taxes are going to pay a 5'4", 275-pound Californian and a "star" of a transsexual documentary to tell 18 year olds to play with themselves? Do they really need the extra instruction?

Does the school need a "Gender and Sexuality Center" anyway? Didn't they used to be called fraternities? I'm sure the taxpayers fund the Center, which gives leftists a job brainwashing 18 year olds. Is this why tuition is so high?

Going to a smaller, non-liberal arts university, I was insulated from this sort of stuff. Now that I'm back at school, it's surprising what goes on.

"Love your body day" sounds like everyone's going to be strumming the banjo or beating the bishop.

Totally freaky.

However, as a parent, if I haven't given my kids the tools to turn away from this stuff BEFORE they get to college, well, it'll be too late.

"Love Your Body Day" is a creation of the NOW gang to give them a chance to lash out against dieting, makeup, etc

Reading about this "porpoise hork" makes be very glad I went to college when I did (during the tail end of the Reagan era/beginning of the Bush administration). I don't know, could have been youthful naivete, but it seemed like the freaks were a little better contained.

We had earth day, and the assorted shennanigoats back then, but nothing of this caliber, and certainly not this blatant.

"Love Your Body Day" -- for the left, it always comes back to sex. And they say we conservatives are repressed and obsessed. Sad.

I Wanna Talk About Me Lyrics
Artist(Band):Toby Keith

We talk about your work how your boss is a jerk
We talk about your church and your head when it hurts
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother
About your daddy and your mother and your crazy ex-lover
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes
You know talking about you makes me smile
But every once in awhile

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about i
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,-background singers)
I wanna talk about me

We talk about your dreams and we talk about your schemes
your high school team and your moisturizer creme
We talk about your nanna up in Muncie, Indiana
We talk about your grandma down in Alabama
We talk about your guys of every shape and size
The ones that you despise and the ones you idolize
We talk about your heart, about your brains and your smarts
And your medical charts and when you start
You know talking about you makes me grin
But every now and then

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,-background singers)
I wanna talk about me
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,
You you you you you you you you youyouyouyouyou
I wanna talk about me

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about me (me,me,me,-background singers)
I wanna talk about me
I wanna talk about me(me,me,me,-background singers)
Oh me!

Ugh! Don't do that to me. I haven't had my coffee yet.

I knew 5'4" 275 lb was going to be rough, but that's scary.

Maybe it'll unintentionally be like a scared straight program. Everyone will be so repulsed that they run right to church.

It just burns me that some angry fat leftist who otherwise wouldn't be able to hold a job is getting paid by my tax dollars to peddle junk in the name of multiculturalism.

Now those bodies shouldn't be too difficult to love. Team spirit, too.
