Holy cow. What happened to Alex P. Keaton of Family Ties? He was a republican in that and the old man was the whinney liberal. He must have switched roles.

Another irony is Michael Gross who portrayed the "whiney, liberal, old man" is a Conservative Republican, from most of what I've read.

As somone on another thread suggested--if michael is so gung ho about this, let him use his own wife and stem cells to hunt for a cure.--or perhaps he wouldn't want his own family used for this crap.--someone else is fine though.

"Fox made ads against other republicans in at least 2 other States"

Nice to see the Canadiens getting in on the bashing of Republicans.

Fox should shut his mouth or go home.

Don't count on it, that little Fox acting job was pretty good.

Something subliminal? "The chicken flys at sunrise" perhaps?

So what is the issue here?

Fox is in favor of stem cell research.

This is because he suffers from a disease that attacks his nervous system.

So stem cell research might help him and other who have similar afflictions.

While I understand that there is a moral objection to "embryonic" stem cell research, beyond that, what is the problem?

That reminds me of Carroll O'Conner, of Archie Bunker fame, who I've heard is/was a big lib in real life.

Of course, Meathead is/was consistent throughout in real life.

The "fetus-sucking vampire"

Liberal bratboy Michael J. glosses over the cannibalism and vampirism just a tad.

I'm not optimistic. All the polls make it sound like Amendment 2 will pass.

But I am heartened to see that someone is at least putting up a fight.
The best discussion of reasons to vote against Amendment 2 I've seen was
on EWTN (the Catholic cable station).
I just stumbled across it Friday night...and I'm not Catholic.
I hadn't heard about a lot of the fine print. It's just a money-maker for
lawyers, hospital and researchers, even if they never come up with a cure.
(they'll just feast on research $$$ provided by the state taxpayers)

Yeah . . . I wondered about that, too. Kinda weird. Is it supposed to be a flashback to his Jesus role? What is he saying?

OK, this is a joke. OK, a joke. Here is what he said in aramaic:

"I'm jesus and I approved this ad".

OK, I'm going to hell now. Bye....

Well for 1 its proven not to work. It causes tumors and adult stem cells have show far more promise in helping people with MS then Embryonic Stem Cells.

All this is, this the cannibalization of those that have no voice for something that had not proven to be effective!

Wonder how Mike Fox would feel if it was discovered that by sucking out the brains of MS victims and extracting their DNA you could cure cancer?

Featured are Jim Caviezel, Jeff Suppan, Kurt Warner, Patricia Heaton and Mike Sweeney

Heard of one of those guys. Never seen any of them.

Is Caviezel the one sitting in front of a brick wall that looks like he's wearing a prisoner's jumpsuit?

Talent is not against stem cell research. Fox's ads not only say Talent is against it, he says Talent wants to CRIMINALIZE it, an even worse lie.

Also, Rush, who follows this closely because he is from Missouri, said the issue on the ballot there is an attempt to force human cloning on the public by putting it in the MO constitution and by mandating public funding for it. He said the ballot issue there is about human cloning, NOT stem cell research. But that the proponents have named it the Stem Cell Research for Cures propostion or something like that, in order to confuse people into voting for it.

A final point: there is a lot of stem cell research going on in Missouri right now, including embryonic stem cell research. The idea that somebody is stopping it is another lie.

I don't live in MO, obviously, so I have to pay close attention to others more in the know than I am.

Yes, this was addressed. Beyond that what is the issue?

Thanks, Mr. Fox does not suffer from MS, so what is your point?

Wonder how Mike Fox would feel if it was discovered that by sucking out the brains of MS victims and extracting their DNA you could cure cancer?

Again, since you are clearly confused about the disease that is attacking Mr. Fox, perhaps you should direct your frustrations toward someone else?

My prayers are with you.

don't know what you are talking about. I see Talent signs all over West St. Louis county, and very few McCaskill.

I dont get out much but I havent seen any in Ballwin. Maybe in Ladue but not around here. In past years my street used to be covered with them. The few they got out came too early. Just before the big storms last summer. I know my sign was destroyed by the storm that knocked power out of the area and so were several neighbors.

That is just it, Michael J. Fox, ain't much of an actor. A 40 year old man playing teenager parts. Go figure.

ok, so talent is in favor of stem cell research?

Is this accurate? is limbaugh really following closely an issue that is being discussed in a state where he has not resided for 30 years?

A final point: there is a lot of stem cell research going on in Missouri right now, including embryonic stem cell research. The idea that somebody is stopping it is another lie.

So I guess it's really not much of an issue after all?

Mr Fox has his opinion, and please consider, since when is the mere opinion of some "entertainer" worthy of serious discussion?
