Killing as compassion..("Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil")

A new political TV ad featuring actor Michael J. Fox, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, is causing waves.

In it, Fox asks Missouri voters to support Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill in her bid to unseat Sen. Jim Talent, citing Talent's opposition to embryonic stem cell research.

Well, actually Fox leaves out the whole embryonic part, as proponents of this research often do. That way they don't have to address the complicated moral issues involved here and instead pretend that such issues simply don't exist.

They want to frame the debate exclusively around the cures they claim that embryonic stem cell research will yield in the future for Parkinson's, spinal injuries like those suffered by the late Christopher Reeve, and a host of other conditions. The last thing they want to talk about, unless pressed to do so, is the destruction of human embryos that's at the heart of the national controversy surrounding this research. ........ The culture of death created by liberals in this country has produced a sinister death cult, a blood lust for the slaughter of the innocents and the most vulnerable among us – from unborn babies, even those who are partially born when they're gruesomely exterminated, to the elderly and infirm, and now to human embryos.

Liberals don't see this slippery slope because they don't see any moral implications whatsoever in the cold-blooded murder of unborn babies, brain-injured women and others who either can't speak in their own defense or can be convinced that they'd be better off dead.

But they always combine the terms under stem cell research, never telling anyone that includes adult stem cells in that phrase which, unlike embryonic stem cells, are a very effective.

What I don't understand is, why doesn't someone actually stand up and make a commercial about stem cell research and explain that it is not illegal to do private research? A lot of my friends believe that president Bush made the research totally illegal in this country and I am having a hard time trying to convince them that it can be done privately. What these Libs want is my tax dollars.
Have someone stand up, make a commercial, and tell Micheal J. Fox and all his Lib friends that they can spend their own money for research.

If it was up to me, all embryonic stem-cell research would be banned. Allowing private companies to use human beings as research material is not acceptable. Adult stem-cell research is perfectly fine *and* the only one that is yielding treatments. Why the rabid insistence on embryonic stem-cell research other than the anti-God culture of death?

Does anyone even make the connection that 9-11 happened within 30 days of Bush's compromise on stem-cell research? I immediately thought of Bush's pro-life campaign position as opposed to his compromise on stem-cell research when 9-11 happened.

It's like God said, "Oh, so you don't really have respect for life. I'll let you see no respect for life."

"Liberals don't see this slippery slope because they don't see any moral implications whatsoever in the cold-blooded murder of unborn babies, brain-injured women and others who either can't speak in their own defense or can be convinced that they'd be better off dead."

Terri's murderous husband, Michael Schiavo, stalked Marilyn Musgrave
at the 4th Congressional Debate this week. This was his second
attempt to extract an apology from Rep. Musgrave for daring to
vote to protect Terri's life.

Isn't there a Shakespeare novel depicting this kind of madness?

Only if the liberal is too young or old or too helpless to stop you.
