Besides, we have only to look at what happened to Mark Fuhrman for the template of what should happen here.
Remember how Fuhrman used the 'n' word in his taped manuscript for a police novel ? He said he'd used that word simply because he was writing a realistic novel --and that was the way real police talked, like it or not.
But that didn't matter. The media convicted Fuhrman of 'racism.'
Along the same lines, the media will now have to convict Webb of pedophilia, if they're to be consistent (which of course they aren't).

I haven't read the book. I have read the relevant excerpts. It seems gratutitous to include scenes where a man puts his sons penis in his mouth. Like I said, call me stodgy.
maybe Webb enjoyed writing his books, but I'll tell you the main reason this stuff gets put in books: To sell books. I find that almost every book I read, even serious conservative topics, have liberal or sexual stuff thrown in. To make it acceptable to the NYT and to make it less boring to various shades of libertines. Webb wanted to sell books, some of it may not play well in a Senate race.

Born Fighting was a non-fiction book, but I noted that a couple of times he made a point by quoting himself, in his own novel. I thought that was completely weird, but I never did read what he had written in those novels.
Now I'm glad I didn't bother.
Shrug. Conservatives are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Witness Foley and Webb. The left has the MSM to do their dirty work, we don't.
