Rudy For President
Stardate: 0611.15

Posted on 11/15/2006 3:19:33 AM PST by The Wizard

They are beginning....the lies and the smears and the awful things that the fools think will turn good conservatives away from Rudy, but I tell you, and I am conservative, Rudy is the guy.....the Man....a leader for America who will hold our values and our heads up and not be scared away by liberals, the media or any tin horn dictator anywhere in the world

We need a man with values and principles and that man is Rudy G.....

they are going to karp about his re marriage, (so what) or the fact that he actually does not agree with every conservative position, but I say this election, the office of the president, it too important to be held hostage to "every stinking" ideal we all hold true....

CONSIDER the witch!!!!Is there anything more frightening than that.....

I would forgive Rudy G quite a lot if it meant that he would be represetnting America in the world....

They think the "Cowboy" was tough......

Welcome to New York

let's give these Islamofacists someone who will not be intimidated and who can kick some butt....

Let's give the media someone who knows where's the bodies are....Rudy was tried by Fire in NYC and he made it.....

I endorse Rudy G for President Of the United States.

FreeRepublic.com should also, IMHO

Enjoy President Hillary, then.

Rudy is 100 times better than that possibility, because the WOT is 100 times more important than the WOGM (War on Gay Marriage).

No one needs to commit to Rudy now, but at least leave open the option that you would rather see him as Prez than the Beast.

I have never heard him say he was for partial birth abortion. What I have heard is that even though he is against abortion personally, he does not feel as though he should impose his views on others. It has been proved over and over again that morality cannot be legislated.

"I hope my fellow Freepers will stand with Rudy and not be swayed by the terrible lies that are about to come..."

Sorry Wiz, but Rudy is out of step with too many key planks in the Republican Party platform. Not terrible lies, but simply terrible facts. His stand against the Second Amendment alone is a non-starter for me. Add his support for gay marriage and late-term abortion, and you have a Republican who is Republican in New York Only. (RINYO)

But let not your heart be troubled! After the 'Rats have succeeded in destroying John Bolton, President Bush would be well advised to nominate Rudy for the post of Ambassador to the United Nations, a position for which the former mayor is well qualified and wouldn't even have to leave New York in order to serve. I have no doubt he would be approved by a unanimous vote of bi-partisan approval.

I'd prefer a more conservative candidate, too, but for whom would you vote if it came down to Rudy vs. Hillary?

I shudder to think what will happen if Repubs stay home in '08 in that scenario ...

As long as he is willing to support pro-choice (murder of life) then as far as I'm concerned he is nothing short of an agent of the devil so I can never support him. This has been a battle that we have come so close to winning but because of liberal judges and politicians like him we can not put a W for WIN in our column and save lives. Sorry, just not going to happen with my support.

I know what you mean, but c'mon, Rome wasn't rebuilt in a day ... we must first hold the White House to continue to wage the WOT and then work on pushing our conservative values right-ward.

We have to stay focused on the big picture. We didn't do that last week, and now we have Speaker Pelosi.

According to your view since Devil #1 is running we should vote for Devil #2 as the better candidate. No thank you!

I agree with your pro-life stance ... and want a pro-lifer in the White House, too ... but are you staying home in '08 if it's Rudy vs. Hillary?

We can't already get so jaded against Rudy, who is far more the lesser of two pro-choice evils.

Precisely. What, you want Devil No. 1?

I'd rather have Reagan as president, but in lieu of that, if Rudy wins the GOP nomination, I'm voting for him.

Maybe he'll stay home like many did in this last election ... we now have the Dims holding the House and Senate as a result.

I'm sick of stay-at-home Repubs!

Thanks for the clarification. I will vote for a pro choice candidate, if they are the lesser of two evils, but partial birth abortion crosses that line. But I will tell you, if it looks like he is our best chance, I will stand behind him 100%. You will never find me here dishing him.

You may be conservative, but your candidate is sure as hell not. I wish he were - he otherwise seems like a standup guy, but were he to gain the nomination, the volunteers that it takes to actually win elections out here in the heartland will stay home in droves. He has no chance of winning.

"Rudi is a RINO."

Yes, he's a RINO on social issues. But you think Osama cares if Rudy is pro-choice or pro-gay? Nope. Rudy is Osama's worst f'ing nightmare. Rudy is not a RINO on the WOT. And if we don't win that, nothing else matters.

Giuliani’s pro-gay rights position is so extreme, he advocated stripping away the special legal status of traditional marriage. In 1998, he pushed a municipal ordinance that wiped out all distinctions between married and unmarried couples in New York City law, regardless of their gender.

From Giuliani mayoral archives.

I have no problem voting for Rudy, but the FReeper candidate of choice is going to be a 3rd party candidate that has yet to emerge. His issues will be building a fence, deporting illegals, and making abortion illegal. He'll spout a hard core right agenda that will make him completely unelectable but will guarantee between 10 and 15 percent of the vote. If you trace the funding of this candidate back far enough, you see Hillary and Soros behind it.

It's coming, I promise you.

His personal views are his, his governing values are ours..

---------------------------

There is so much wrong with that statement.

First, you are suggesting that Rudy has one moral standard for himself but would hold the rest of us to a different one. That type of internal schism is not genuine or healthy.

Second, Rudy's 'governing values' regarding abortion, gays and guns are well documented and they are certainly not 'ours'.

It is disingenuous of you to attempt to deflect any legitimate criticism and discussion of Rudy's liberal social leanings by labelling them as 'attacks'.
