After visting Iraq and the troops, I along with them will just "say no to Hillary." Many of our troops have heard the stories of Hillary as the First Lady, banning the military uniform from the White House. During the Clinton Administration, the troops were cut in half resulting in many of our Armed Forces going to the welfare lines. Now Hillary comes to condemn the Bush Administration for not properly supporting our "deserving troops." Too little...too late, Hillary. When my son escorted Laura Bush in the middle east, she was welcomed with open arms and cheers. When Hillary visited the middle east the troops said, "Broomstick One has landed." Debbie I hope the LORD protects you hero son. Thanks for the post.
A big smile on my fat head.
Your son gave the ultimate sacrifice, and we as a nation will always be grateful.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Hillary thinks she is ENTITLED to become POTUS, if anyone dislikes the idea then they are radical right-wing morons. I believe many people will step forward to tell the truth about this ruthless woman, especially people in DC.
This time, Americans will know much more than she's been able hide in order to understand who they are voting for. Let's see how well she stands up to the truth about her past.
BTTT
Perfect! I have that picture on my rolling screen saver, and I laugh every time it comes up. You KNOW that if she had any real power that that boy would be in chains in Fort Leavenworth right now.
Mrs. Bill will not become president in 08 unless something truly unthinkable happens, like the nomination of Rudy Giuliani by the Republicans or possibly the nomination McCain.
Or Romney.
Let's see, that leaves... who?
The most important thing is that the Republicans come up with someone, anyone, who can beat Hillary, and whom they can rally around. So far the field looks bleak: RINOs nearly all of them.
I was aghast when I heard Brownback(?) comment about entering the race as a Compassionate Conservative. Use of that phrase to describe himself disqualifies him for me.
It seems we have quite cast of Disabled political Veterans waiting in the wings.
Don't worry debbie ... I've been saying no to Hillary ever since her husband was running for President.
I like that picture.
The Clinton Administration has a rap sheet as long as your arm. So long, indeed, that you can never call all of the raps against it in one sitting. "Highlights" includeI've probably omitted something major. Here's the sort of thing that would be an ordinary scandal:
- Waco. Reno "accepted responsibilty," but didn't resign. POTUS was responsible.
- Travelgate.
- FBI Filegate!!!
- Black Hawk Down
- Monica
- "the meaning of 'is'"
- Losing ben Ladin
- Gorelick's Wall
- Coffegate
- Budhist Templegate
- Chinagate
- systematically accusing Ken Starr of felonious leaks which actually were the work of the White House (and, as such, were not actually offenses).
- Web Hubbel, later convicted of crime, as assistant AG
- Whitewater
- Whitewater Filegate
- Cattlegate
- Vince Foster
- use of a nonconfirmable deputy position to run a department which should have been headed by a Senate-confirmed chief, since the Senate would not have confirmed the deputy as chief.
That sort of thing doesn't even make the cut in the Clinton rap sheet. I also omit
- Misappropriation of Marine One for staffer's golf outting.
from the list because that story had no legs and may not in fact be true. Maybe. But I emphasize FBI Filegate and "the meaning of is" because hundreds of felonies being committed in the WH and not prosecuted, and the POTUS going into court to get the judge to misunderstand the facts of a case in favor of POTUS, are both patently known to be true bills - and each patently is an impeachable offense which no Republican POTUS concievably could survive.
- Ordering military officers to serve as WH mess staff, precisely because they were in uniform.
In policy, the Clinton Administration credits itself with
Clinton allowed more than one thing to happen for which, unambiguously, he should have been impeached and convicted. He allowed and/or did many things which were not good for the country, and he did them early and he did them often.
- signing welfare reform after vetoing it twice before conceding - and before pledging to Democrats, but failing, to undo some of it.
- attempting nationalized health care - which would have bureaucratized health care even further.
raising taxes.
- booming economy - which ended in the dot-com bust which was triggered by the DoJ investigation of Microsoft. And which was exaggerated by inflated Commerce Dept. statistics which had to be drastically revise downward.
- NAFTA, which was bipartisan and is still controversial.
Not only so, but when the topic is the nomination of Hillary Clinton for POTUS it must be remembered that not only is the election and sustaining in the WH of Bill Clinton Hillary's main actual accomplishment, but that
Oh yes, and before all of that Hillary was head of the fraudulent Legal Services Corporation, putatively for providing legal assistance to the poor but which was actually a federally funded hotbed of Democratic activism.
- everyone in the Clinton WH is sullied by Filegate; all senior people including the First Lady are suspects in the hiring of Craig Livingstone.
- Hillary is implicated in Waco because of the insistence on a female AG, and because the failure of the first two woman nominees delayed the filling of the AG post until shortly before Waco went down. Which was the excuse for Janet Reno's having been "responsible" for Waco without actually taking blame for it, which would have required her resignation (and the nomination of yet another female of less-than-stellar qualifications - Jamie Gorelic?).
- Hillary is the main suspect in Travelgate - in which Billy Dale, the head of the WH Travel Office, was arbitrarily (if legally) fired soon before attaining retirement age/tenure, and was prevented from keeping track of his accounts and then was unsuccessfully prosecuted for an alleged "fraud" of which the putative "victims" were journalists who never had any beef against Dale.
- Whitewater, Whitewater Filegate, and Cattlegate - and very arguably the Web Hubbel nomination and Vince Foster case - were Hillary's scandals more directly than they were Bill's.
- Hillary was reportedly behind the Clinton decision not to settle the Paula Jones case, which precipitated "the meaning of is" perjury by Bill Clinton. It was immoral for anyone in the position of POTUS to even set foot in a courtroom for the purpose of keeping the judge from learning the truth of a case against himself. And the decision for Bill to enter that courtroom reportedly was Hillary's.
But why do men dislike a strong woman like Hillary? </sarcasm>
. . . or possibly a McCain third-party run. In fact, the Republicans don't have a clearly qualified candidate in the race.To me, the selection of Republican VP nominee might actually be more critical than that of POTUS nominee. Because going negative against the opposing POTUS nominee is the VP nominee's job, and telling the truth about Hillary is about as negative as you can get.
