Have you heard of Wattsburger? That's where we go...they are awesome! :D
They've been here since the '50s...and are in the same little blue building.

Dear Animal Lover Friends,
I received the following message from my Zonta friend Judith Snyder (also a dog rescuer). This past weekend, a senior horse rescue farm named "Sun Kissed Acres" www.sunkissedacres.com/ in Summerville, Georgia just experienced a barn fire which left them with NOTHING. Thankfully, the owner Lori Yonts got all the horses out of the barn safely, but now they have no shelter or feed containers, no feed or supplements/medicines, no halters/leads/blankets, etc.
If you can help with any kind of cash or material donations at all, here is the rescue owner Lori's contact information/address:
Lori Yonts
Sun Kissed Acres
536 Woods Rd
Summerville, GA 30747-6222
706-734-0681
miasmom@alltel.net
And if you don't own any horse gear to donate, a suggestion was also made below to consider purchasing equipment being auctioned on EBay by a non-profit auction site that uses its proceeds to educate the public and to help victims of horse theft (Stolen Horse International, Inc.) Then, you could have it shipped directly to Lori's farm. A summary of the tack gear being auctioned is located on their website at: www.netposse.com/auction2006page4.htm
Such a sad situation for any rescue organization to have to face during the upcoming holidays! But at least Sun Kissed Acres was blessed that NO HORSES or pets died in the fire! Please consider forwarding this plea; and even if you can't donate, please keep Lori and her horse rescue farm in your thoughts and prayers...

Please add Lily4Jesus and myself, as parents of one of our son's who has just returned to active duty in Iraq for a year. He is in the Navy reserve, and was on the Abraham Lincoln when it was over for the outbreak of the war (no, he didn't get a photo with our Commander in Chief who landed on it on its return voyage! ;-) But after serving 5 years in the Navy, he stayed in the reserve and choose to accept on a recent volunteer request when it came back to him a second time. His name is William Justin Silverthorn (family calls him Justin, military calls him William!). Keep him in your prayers! I have a dated navy picture on my profile of him ... will get a more current one to you if needed. (I say "one of our son's" since he has a twin brother who served in Iraq simultaneously in the Army).
God bless America and keep our troops safe and let's pray the outcome of this war proves all the naysayers wrong!
