"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
Perhaps keeping them from breeding might also help.
I agree with most of the article but find it ironic that while talking about other peoples ignorance, he misuses the word "guaranty", which is the noun form of the word when what he is looking for is "guarantee", the verb form
A pipe dream, I know...
I love browsing the Spanish language novellas on TV. If you want to know what the future will look like, check out any of these shows. They portray a divided society where Europeans live lives of luxury supported by a large underclass.
Mexico's lower classes continue to elect populists who promise the fight for "the people". Rising taxes simply lead to wide-scale corruption as those with means move to shield their wealth from the government.
It's easy to predict the future when it's already occurring in a country full of our future citizens.
It's just a shame that stupidity is not painful.
I would bring back not only literacy tests but property qualifications as well and I would deny the vote to anyone receiving either a salary or a subsidy from the government.
I have become very 'elitist' over the years and this past election showed that at least 50% of the voters are just too incredibly stupid to be allowed to vote. Those that agree that the RATS are better than the GOP on the following issues are brain dead in th extreme:
- Better on National Security
- Better on Border Control
- Better on Taxes
- Better on Spending
- Better on Moral Issues
- Better on integrity in Office
No where in that prophecy, or of other Old Testament prophets concerning events that have not yet transpired, is the nation of American even alluded to.
We are just "not in it."
I am almost certain that the United States (as the nation we now know) will cease to be in the not so distant future.
How about a poll tax?
No,not one designed to seperate the moneyed class from the have-nots but a nominal fee (say $1, $5) simply to deomonstrate a belief in the importance of voting.
Likely to winnow the field down to a majority of those who know what happended on Dec. 7. (and, probably, 911)
The unfortunate fact of the matter is that stupidity is very bipartisan.
Also note that these people will be voting after the real estate bubble, the falling dollar and their own irresponsibility catch up with them.
"Oh, I borrowed money and I have to pay it back? That's evil! It's the loan company's fault. And... and the successful people! It's them, too. They should have to pay back what's been given to them. They've got too much. Government needs to level the playing field. Gimme, gimme, gimme."
Fools will always vote to be avoid the consequences of their foolishness.
I got it! .....The test:
Registered Republican?
How many people went down with the Titanic in 1912?
Registered Democrat?
Okay, Name them.
Democratic despotism (despotism by the majority) once was widely considered and discussed. Tocqueville among others (Macaulay, John Adams, Kirk) have written about it.
In every historical instance where egalitarianism is implemented by the majority there is a resulting dumbing down of the culture and the necessity of a dictator to preserve order.

The unions were allowed to eliminate the teaching of history and geography from our schools, and now Joseph Farah says the politically ignorant should not be allowed to vote? Joseph Farah needs to take up the cause of bringing education back into our public schools. What's he doing about that?
Joseph, let's all just have twice as many babies as the left, train them well, and we'll have nothing to worry about.
Bring back having to own property to vote. I think that those who are being taken from should have the right to say where it goes. Those who are receivers should not have a voice in how much and how it it spent. If they want a voice, become a productive member of society and start paying taxes first.
BTTT
Here, you're seeing the end result.
I am amazed that many people I engage in general conversation know very little about what's really going on in the world. It's really shocking.
I truly fear for the future of our country.
You didn't ask, but that won't stop me from telling you...
