Taxi Driving in Seattle--Even "Moderate" Muslims hate Jews
Dafka ^ | 1-2-06 | Roger L. Simon

Posted on 01/02/2007 9:15:12 AM PST by SJackson

Yesterday afternoon, after wrapping up our vacation with a couple of pleasant hours in the Elliot Bay Book Company, Sheryl, Madeleine and I started back to our hotel to pick up our bags and head home to LA. We were with our friend and my Pajamas colleague Gerard. He proposed we take a cab; he would drop us by the hotel before continuing to his home.

We found one quickly. It was driven by an African guy. We had to instruct him about the location of our hotel; it was new. In the course of this I asked him where he was from. Kenya, he said. But then quickly added he was Somali. Many Somalians live in Kenya.

Ah, Somalia. Immediately the three adults in the car perked up. We acknowledged we knew there was big trouble in that country, the attack from Ethiopia on the ICU, etc. To our surprise, our driver immediately launched into a vitriolic attack on Al Qaeda. They were evil violent men, hijacking Islam across the globe. He had details of their infiltration of Somalia from a phone call he had made the previous night, how they were using Saudi money, etc. Thousands of people were being murdered by these Wahhabis for no reason. He was obviously following the situation closely. Al Qaeda was a danger to all mankind, he said.

It was a refreshing to hear this view from a Moslem taxi driver in Seattle. He was obviously pleased that we recognized the travails of his people too. So he continued with his explication of what was behind this terrible situation - how the Moslem religion could have been taken over by these violent forces. Someone was behind the rise of this Saudi Wahhabism . The answer, he said, was Israel. It was all an Israeli plot. They were behind the Wahhabis.

Suddenly our hearts sank. How could a man who seemed so reasonable, so knowledgeable, say something so obviously crazy?

Just then we were at our hotel. Sheryl and I left the cab, stunned. I phoned Gerard from the airport. What had the man said on the way to his place? Gerard - wisely - had let him continue. There was no point in fighting with a man like that. Better to learn how his mind worked. Gerard simply inquired why the Israelis would want to back Al Qaeda when Al Qaeda was sworn to destroy Israel. The man replied by talking about his childhood, his Islamic education. He had learned about the Jews from the Koran. That was the truth, of course.

Taxi driving in Seattle. So it goes.

It's hard to believe it when anyone thinks it is a newsworthy to discover that in followers of islam, EXtreme is the MAINstream.

All they need to do is get faithful transcripts of the translations of the hundreds of thousands of sermons delivered every week in mosques around the world. And stop the fatal Western logic of assuming that these people being fed hate and violence do not believe what they are saying and hearing.

Muslim Life in America
(Posted October 2002)                                 Español | Pycckuu | Arabic

The Tagouris
Members of the Tagouri family in Charles County, Maryland, are some of the growing number of Muslims moving into more rural parts. (Jim Blair)

Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in the United States today. According to one recent survey, there are 1,209 mosques in America, well over half founded in the last 20 years. Between 17 and 30 percent of American Muslims are converts to the faith.

At the center of both traditional American life and the lives of the generally more recent Muslim immigrants is the family. As Shahed Amanullah, an engineer who lives in San Franciso, California, puts it, " American values are, by and large, very consistent with Islamic values, with a focus on family, faith, hard work, and an obligation to better self and society."

This booklet is a brief introduction to a complex subject, an attempt to explore in words and images the extraordinary range and richness of the way American Muslims live. That point of cross-cultural commonality -- the family -- is where we begin.

At least the taxi driver didn't blame Bush also.

Good point!

Our ancestors didn't risk life and limb to come to this country just so a bunch of camel jockeys could come here, terrorize our women and children and make hamburger out of our families!

See post 23. Ping my if you find any other advertisement for immigrants of a particular faith on a government site. I won't be holding my breath.

"they are a significant voting block "

they WOULD be a significant voting block if they had
someone they really felt represented their "interests", like Keith Ellison, but I don't think many of the unaffiliated people like this taxi driver have yet been roused to vote.
The frightening scenario will be the appearance of more Keith Ellisons to represent these people, and our inabililty to do anything about it. It seems to be a game our OWN "mainstream" politicians are playing with us, with a wink and a nod to the Muslim "community" and their "spokesmen", in or out of legitimate government.
There is some very devious and harmful game being played, maybe only by default, but the net effects will be the same: a cacophony of voices entering every political debate, new terms of discourse being defined, our own brains being washed this time from another angle, all of which portend the growing influence of Islam in this culture.

"There----I've said it again".

One more muzzie terrorist attack in America and every one off these swinging dicks will have to pack up their korans and families and go back to whatever hellhole they originated from.

Our ancestors didn't risk life and limb to come to this country just so a bunch of camel jockeys could come here, terrorize our women and children and make hamburger out of our families!

I agree with every word you say. However, our government will not do a thing about the muzzies. The citizens of this country have a bit of thinking to do, I'd say, because we might have to take care of the situation ourselves.

They do not, for the most part, wear uniforms. They are spreading through the world. They are here - in increasing numbers.

See my #27

"our government will not do a thing about the muzzies"

the "government" won't have any choice.
The OUTRAGE will be OVERWHELMING bordering on threat of impeachment of Bush "if" these people aren't deported which should have been started on 9/12/2001.
1993 was strike one.
2001 was strike two.
and the next attack will be "strike three, you're outa here!"

This is the reason that I fear Barack Obama

And that other muslim that was elected recently, can't recall his name.

Muslims holding office is a direct threat to this Country. Along with their supporters in the democrat (and republican) party, they can gain enough of a foothold and pass legislation in islam's favor.

Yes it CAN happen. Look at all that has happened that we never thought would take place. Take a good look at CAIR and what they are allowed to get away with. We are being infiltrated and with continued inaction, it is only a matter of time before we are very, very, sorry.

That sounds like a Sean Hannity quote.

I`m a taxi driver here in New York city, one of the rare ones who is Jewish as well, and one the even rarer ones who doesn`t come from another country but was born here. And I can tell you first hand, it doesn`t matter how a Muslim sees terror, it is absolutely true, they all hate or are prejudice against the Jews.

For example, when gas prices were going through the roof, I walked into our office one day (where we get assigned taxis) and what should I find? A letter posted on the wall asking all drivers to ask the TLC for a rate hike to cover the cost of "Jewish oil"..Mind you, this was a paper put up by management (Muslims).Meaning they were blaming the Jews for the price of gas going up.

I get in debates all the time with these wackos, and it`s true...I wouldn`t say all of them "hate" the Jews, but they are raised to be extremely prejudice against them. They truly believe every single problem, no matter WHAT it is, is because of the Jews.

I had one guy tell me once the Jews even created Saddam to oppress the Iraqis so they could get Iraqi oil and now the Jews want all the oil so this is why the Iraq invasion occurred. It truly is Nazism, but on a level that has not yet come to absolute power. If Islam had absolute power over the world, I have no doubt whatsoever they would do stuff to Jews that would make the holocaust look like childs play.

That's a good question. Might ask the same one of American Jews, who voted 80% for the party endorsed by Al Qaeda.

"At least the taxi driver didn't blame Bush also."

The cab ride ended before he got to that part...and how Bush is Hitler, and Hitler was a Jew http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1761239/posts (even though Hitler wasn't such a bad guy, and he never tried to kill any of those evil, bloodsucking Joooos, errr, Zionists).

I used to wonder how a mass psychosis could infect a few tens of millions (WW2 Germany and Japan). Compared to a billion + Moslems, Germany and Japan were nothing.

Ya think? The outrage will be ignored. The outrages that muzzies commit will be treated as a criminal matter - islam will never be defined as the reasons behind muzzie crimes.

Besides, Bush does not have that long left in his presidency and we can not be sure the next President will even recognize islamic terrorism, or admit that islam is a threat. A democrat or rino president will continue welcoming them to these shores. GLOBALISM has arrived.
