I am a huge Bobby Knight fan (raised a Hoosier). When I moved to Texas, I thought I would try and go to Texas Tech and check out Bobby Knight in person. I see that it is about eight hours from here. I'd have to make a three day weekend out of it. Two days just driving.

No more troops for Iraq. We are headed for the quagmire of Korea and Viet Nam. What we need is a leader with the backbone to win this war.What we do is use the weapons we now have in Iraq. Start in the known bad parts of Baghdad and blow the hell out of them. Keep destroying their hang outs until the locals start to help us in order to save their city. We have plenty of high explosive bombs and planes to deliver them. Iraq is not worth the loss of one more American Young Person. We have been in too many wars that we didn't intend to win. If we are not going in to win these brush fires then we should stay to hell out of those rat holes..I spent my time in the Korean War and can tell you of the heart break and feeling of desolation you will feel when one of you Buddies is killed for nothing. Either get in to Win or get out.

I LISTENED TO high level Baker Report, in one point the stuffed suite reccomended we take Baghadad back and hold it. Well what do you know. George Patton had this figured out a long time ago, he said ' I am not paying for any realestate twice." Blow the hell out of them then go in and set what is left on fire, sit on the side lines and shoot the rats when they run out. Then hold on to that realestate and start in on the next neighborhood. We could do the whole thing without loosing one soldier. Get the Air Force off of their fat buts and get them to hauling the freight. You will get no argument from me on this sentiment. Lyndon Johnson and Robert McNamara killed 50,000 of our people including some of my friends by trying to run the war from ther basement of the White House.

"Proportionate Response" was the mantra they used to justify their half a^^ed approach to the war.
