Well, well. Some “climate expert” on “The Weather Channel” wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for “tolerance”, huh?
I have been in operational meteorology since 1978, and I know dozens and dozens of broadcast meteorologists all over the country. Our big job: look at a large volume of raw data and come up with a public weather forecast for the next seven days. I do not know of a single TV meteorologist who buys into the man-made global warming hype. I know there must be a few out there, but I can’t find them. Here are the basic facts you need to know:
*Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up.

Just saw this article, as well. Classic stuff. I have become less and less tolerant of mindless followers in this country who just buy into this garbage and parrot the claims. It snowed in Malibu earlier this week, at the beach in southern California! Just great listening to the explanations by the same lefties who are trying to promote this 'warming' tripe.
The weather is more like it is today than it has ever been before.
We've been freezing our butts off in Flagstaff, AZ for more than a week.

Given the wide diversity between what meterologists project for a seven day forecast from the raw data and what the weather actually does in those seven days, I find it laughable that some of these so-called "scientists" think they can even estimate with any degree of accuracy what the weather was like centuries ago and what it is going to do over the next several years.
It's a very sad day when things are so partisan that even the weather is a political issue.
It seems tolerance is not a two-way street but more of a its their way or the highway type attitude.

I don't know how you get your TV, but my digital cable provides me with the Weather Channel, with all their stupid chatter and Algore propaganda, and another channel, 101, that just has the weather, the forecasts, the pollen count, the tides, ect. on the screen and NO ONE-AIR idiots. Just pleasant music in the background. So when I want to know about the weather, I choose option 2.

About 20 years ago I worked with a TV meteorologist who thought global warming was bunk. He had his AMS seal but he also had an executive producer who thought global warming was something to talk about.
I wonder what he thinks about it now or has he just felt the pressure to shut up and preach the party line.
Its sad to watch so many people get swallowed up in junk science that I like to call 21st Century flat earth thinking.
I think I live in the United States, but this person at the Weather Channel must want us to have a Reichs Academy of Meteorology.
This man has the grant racket down pat. There is no room for dissension. We now have very few people following the research to see where it leads, they follow the ideas necessary to get a grant.
It use to be hypothesis, theory, law. Now the new generation follows money makes the law. In this case I would look at the "springs" theory of academic advancement.

Honestly, good on this meteorologist for calling it as it is. I will NOT watch the weather channel any more, or visit their cookie-infested, spam-filled, bloated web site. There are other weather resources available.
