My aunt and uncle sent this out to our family at 6:30 AM today. Carrie is my young cousin, a very gifted artist, and the second eldest among her siblings. She and her family are in Michigan.
Prayer reqeust from my aunt and uncle (Carrie is their granddaughter).
This morning on her way to work Carrie's car slid on the highway and into a tree. She has very bad injuries, especially to her head. Her brain is swelling and she is now in surgery. They plan to open her skull to allow for the swelling, and she is not responding.They don't give her parents a lot of hope. We are telling everyone so you can join us in praying for our dear Caroline. They called her parents about 7:45 this morning and they're at the hospital now.

Dear Father in Heaven, please bless and comfort, and in thy will, heal Carrie. Bless and comfort her family, hold them all in the Palm of Thy Hand...in Jesus Name, Amen.

I mistyped Carrie in the birth order. She is the second oldest. I think she is about 25 now.

May God guide the doctors' hands as they treat Carrie, and may the peace that passes understanding be on each member of her family.

Prayers that Carrie recovers from her head injury -- and as a victim of a childhood fractured skull myself, I am also praying that Carrie also develops the discernment to recognize and accept that even with a "full recovery," there may be changes and challenges imposed by her trauma that she will need to work through, adapt to, and/or accept.
Dear Lord, bless Carrie's medical caregivers with wisdom to restore her health. Bless and comfort Gretchen and Carrie's family as await news.

Lord Jesus,I thank and praise You that You are Lord in all situations, and nothing is to difficult for You. We are trusting in You to work Your perfect will in Carrie's body and life. If it is within Your will, reach down just now into that hospital room where this servant is lying and touch her body in a most miraculous way, so as to bring glory and honor to You. Bless and comfort this family right now. May they stay safely Under Your Wings.
