I'm angry. I'm angry at the 'antiwar' protesters who heaped abuse on our troops. And I'm angry at the people who couldn't be bothered to stand up for our troops yesterday.
Tens of thousands of anti-American leftists and their dupes marched on our nation's capital calling for America's defeat in the war on terror in Iraq.
Only about forty people could be bothered to turn out in support of America's victory in Iraq. Among those forty was a civilian POW held by the North Vietnamese communists and several Iraq war veterans--including wounded warriors who left the hospital to stand up for their brothers in arms on the home front.
Why did former POW Mike Benge and Iraq vet Joshua Sparling only find a few dozen people willing to stand with them? Why, as the anti-American left is heading toward repeating their victory in Vietnam, are so many people sitting on their asses and doing nothing to stop them?
Why, when Joshua Sparling was spat on, cursed at and threatened by 'peace marchers', were there so few people there to defend his honor?
Why was Jane Fonda allowed to desecrate the Navy Memorial and only face token opposition?
Why did Mike Benge see thousands more people showing up to cheer Jane Fonda than there were to denounce her?
Those who were there to support these patriots will be posting their observations and photos on this thread. I've said my piece.

I think the leftist orgs are simply better at this kind of thing than we are.
They have worked at this for decades, I think we are just learning. I wish I had some ideas for you, I'm a thousand mile away, love what you're doing, but damn......you've got to be better than this than the leftists because they control how it will be reported. I know Kristinn has done more organizing than anyone else. Kudos for this. But don't use the fact that soldiers were spit on, to inflict guilt in people for not attending. I respect any man in uniform, but the soldiers should not have been there. Has the Vietnam days taught us NOTHING!!?? Do you think that this is going to make the morning papers??
All this did was piss a few people off, humiliated a few others, and created happiness among the left. Why the hell do you folks give the enemy bullets, and then piss and moan when you get shot at?

I admire the people (I'm one of them) who get out there and do something, and yes, anyone within driving distance who could have attended should have been there. Inflicting guilt is perfectly appropriate.
Thank you very much for the suggestion but I did protest all by myself when Al Gore and his daughter came to town. I didn't go tell the world what I did either. So mind your own business, please. You have NO IDEA what you are talking about.
I damn well have an excuse. I have businesses that need to be taken care of. If I don't do the work it doesn't get done. It's not like I can tell 'my boss' that I'm leaving for a couple of days or a couple of hours.
