QUOTE OF THE DAY
President Bush Attends National Prayer Breakfast
Hilton Washington Hotel
Washington, D.C.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. Now will you please join me in singing The Eyes of Texas. (Laughter.)
Good morning. Laura and I are honored to join you here at the 55th National Prayer Breakfast. You know, it's is an amazing country, isn't it, when people from all walks of life gather to recognize our dependence on an Almighty God, and to ask him for blessings in our life. I think a breakfast such as this speaks to the true strength of the United States of America. (Applause.)
We come from many different faiths, yet we share this profound conviction: We believe that God listens to the voice of His children, and pours His grace upon those who seek Him in prayer. I appreciate, Mr. Congressman, you and Jo Ann Davis, for leading this prayer breakfast. And thanks for paying tribute to my wife. (Applause.)

Nice photos today, I shall be very good and refrain from commenting on a couple of the characters in those photos! :)
The photos of GWB and General Pace are terrific. Wouldn't you love to know what it was that they were laughing so heartily about?
It is fun to see Dr. Collins on the Dose again. We went to church with him about 20 years ago.
I love the way GWB is looking at Laura in #19 and #21. :)
I hope that Nhia Borja has this excuse letter framed! It is precious. I love it that GWB said "thanks for teaching."
Thank you for your work. :)
Jon's coming home this weekend...maybe even tomorrow if he can get on the plane in time....YIPPEE!!!!!!!
Great Pictures of the day, Snugs.
Laura looks fantastic, as usual. I think she's getting younger! LOL!
That's a beautiful first picture.
How come this couple can look like they've posed for hours in a studio with makeup, etc. for a candid shot.
My candid shots... well, usually I'm eating.
Sad to say, when I showed last year's pics of the Prayer Breakfast to my Norwegian friend, she couldn't understand why we would have such a thing and was happy that it would never occur in Norway.
I'm pretty close to being a heathen myself, but I can't believe that people would have a problem with the heads of state getting together for some mind and soul clearing prayer or meditation. She feels it hurts the country, I think it can only help.
I pray that our Lord blesses and raises up our President, George W. Bush, who is a faithful servant; protector of his citizens and warrior for freedom , the only conduit of true peace on this Earth.
May history get it right and judge this good, decent, brave and righteous leader who ignored his critics and answered the calling of his time.
