"We'll have to raise taxes.... there has to be a revenue source," Edwards said

Who was the last scumbag Democrat candidate to say something like this?
Wasn't it Walter "Landslide" Mondale?

Say little person, why don't you sell your modest home and pay for 100,000 'poor' people's health insurance.

On second thought, surrender your law license and health insurance cost will automatically go down 20%... UDA

Too bad he doesn't do his own taxes. I bet he has people to do that kind of thing for him - I wonder if he delegates the signature as well.

Or, maybe, he's just a nut.

Maybe Tom Tancredo will suggest a huge tax on slip and fall attorneys, hollywood celebrities and former politicians that push for higher taxes.
Called the "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is"
legislation.

I had a buddy who was shooting of his mouth about how "he didn't need ahow much he feell tax cut. blah blah blah!"
I dared him in front of a group of people at a party to break out the check book and write a check to Uncle Sucker."
Of course he wouldn't do it. I suggested he start drinking Fuzzy Navels with the rest of the chicks.
He was the butt of many jokes that night.

"We'll have to raise taxes. The only way you can pay for a health care plan that cost anywhere from $90 to $120 billion is there has to be a revenue source,"

mmm.... it's not a "revenue source", Captain Parmenter... it's our money... it's not yours to take as you please.

"Let's see, a trial lawyer who's ambulance chasing has led to higher insurance premiums for doctors which has led to higher healthcare costs for all."

My thoughts exactly! What a putz!

Hospital Hell (Dan Aykroyd on Socialized Medicine)
The New York Post | 11-19-2003 | Richard Johnson

Posted on 11/20/2003 3:15:45 AM EST by Lancey Howard

November 19, 2003 -- DAN Aykroyd is no fan of the bureaucratic bungling and cut-rate care of socialized medicine. "One place you don't want to get sick is Quebec," the Canadian actor advised us after a screening of Denys Arcand's "The Barbarian Invasions." "It's all socialized. Believe me, you don't want to go to a hospital there."

Hmmm.....is Edwards moving fast to co-opt Hillary's national health care scam?

Methinks Edward's comments loaded with class-envy Utopian schemes will force Her Heinous out in the open very soon with her own socialistic health plans.

Just need to slightly modify John's proposal.

How about raising taxes through a new targeted tax on windfall profits by shyster's who profit from excessive and frivolous lawsuits? It could carry a special multiplier for those who channel the unborn.

Could be named the Silky Pony Tax.

The Shyster is only developing ways to "create" jobs for new ambulance chasers.

Remind me again the legal status of those who will benefit from this rise in taxes.

Typical ignorant Democrap answer to all problems great and small. The country doesn't need more taxes to get "reasonable" health coverage for ALL our citizens. What the country needs are people who know how to manage and are willing to put political agenda and corruption on the back burner to get the job done right.Part of the plan would be to determine exactly WHO will be covered under the plan.If we're going to continue to insist that anyone who happens to fall across one of borders is covered much like Canada, then yes we'll defiitely have to continue raising taxes, but for my part if a person isn't a citizen of the US they're not covered. A graduated system based on income and coverage could work. Not everyone has to be covered 100% from their toenails to the top of their heads, and deductables could be worked into the coverage premiums. And while we're at it how about we take a good look at the current ripoff known a disability. There's more healthy people collecting disability today there there are sick ones !!!

"John Edwards on Sunday said that he would raise taxes, chiefly on the wealthy..."br? If I was one of the "wealthy", I'd move my money and then move myself outta here.

This lib-think redistribution of wealth has got to stop, or we no longer have America...all of a sudden, it's Hitlerville.

Many years ago - I think in one of his books - Rush noted that the early pilgrims tried "socialism", by working in the fields and putting the crops in a big pile for everyone to pick from...well, didn't work because the lazy just waited for everyone else to do the work, and then they took what they wanted.

And he was right when he said that if you took everyone's annual income, put it in a Federal account, and divided it up equallys, within a year's time the previous-poor would be again poor, and the previous rich would be rich again.

Poverty is as much of an attitude, as it is a financial condition. Redistribution of wealth won't work...look at those debit cards they gave Katrina "victims"...they were used to buy stereos, appliances, and to attend strip clubs.

The congressional libs advocate this crap for one reason, to get votes, which equal power. They don't give a tinker's damn about the poor, or they would be shoveling their money to them. How many homeless has hillary taken in to palacial home in New York? The new mansion that Edwards is building with swimming pools and basketball courts...that money would go a long way in their fight on poverty.

I'm beginning to think that when the left/media (same)talk about the poverty level, they may as well be talking about global warming....a computer model.

I have lived in many towns in several parts of the country, and in them all there is always a church or some other private organization that helps needy people. We, as a people, are not going to let anyone starve to death.

The higher the taxes go, the less I have to donate to the charities that really are helping the poor and homeless. So maybe the best lesson to the government would be to declare a boycott on all charities for a time, and let the backlash show who is actually helping whom.

Edwards...you want to help "healthcare"...then get the millions of illegal aliens off the government teat, and driving the hospitals broke using emergency rooms as a routine doctor's visit everytime little muchacho get a runny nose.

Congresscritters should be examples for the rest of us to follow...and so far all I see from the libs is "do as I say,not as I do.".

hillary, et al, are power-hungry, obsessed, and would rather climb a tree to tell a lie than tell the truth on the ground. If they get elected, kiss America goodbye.
