I think that is an excellent Idea,Mr President (wishinghecouldbe) Edwards! May I offer you a suggestion as to a fair and bountiful source for those taxes?

It is common knowledge that, Personal Claims lawyers, despite the outrageous hourly wages they demand, also demand an unbelievably greedy percentage of the settlements they acquire for their suffering clients. Therefore, in the language made famous by such lawyers, every cent above their hourly fee,is unmerited windfall profits.;-)

Considering the fact that the excessive cost of everything we buy, especially medical care and medicine can be traced right back to the actions of the afore mentioned lawyers, it is fitting and proper that we mine their deep pockets until depleted, before looking elsewhere. Especially when digging for the wherewithal to finance a scheme that they themselves are the mother's/sire's of.

"I seriously doubt he means actual sales that are not reported. Rather I think he wants to go after imputed or unrealized gains. In this, he's definitely trying to head off Hitlerly because under Beezelbubba there were a few trial balloons floated about taxing people on the imputed rental incomes of their houses."

I agree big time. Can you imagine what that would do to people's retirement funds if unrealized cap gains were taxed every year? Jeez I bet he's glad he has his.
