Rudy is our next President.

If I had to bet on it, I'd agree.

New York City Sues Gun Industry

By Mayor Rudy Giuliani

On June 20th, I was pleased to announce that the City of New York filed a lawsuit against two dozen major gun manufacturers and distributors. This is an industry which profits from the suffering of innocent people. The lawsuit is intended to end the free pass that the gun industry has enjoyed for a very long time, which has resulted in too many avoidable deaths. The suit alleges a number of illegal practices on the part of the gun manufacturers, including:

* Deliberately manufacturing many more firearms than can be bought for legitimate purposes such as hunting and law enforcement, and knowingly targeting these excess guns to criminals, youths and other persons unqualified to buy firearms;

* Deliberately undermining New York City's gun control laws by flooding other markets which have less stringent gun laws with firearms that the manufacturers know are destined to be illegally resold in New York City;

* Ignoring the illegal practices of gun distributors, many of whom openly engage in the above practices;

* Refusing to manufacture safer guns, with features such as trigger locks and "personalization" measures that allow only authorized persons to fire the weapon.

"...you're a MUTT, Rudy."

I dropped it last year. He is the only one, imo, that can beat a democratic ticket with the way the media controls everything. It will be hard for the media to do to him what they have done to the current administration without tipping their hand to the sheeple.

I want a Constitutional amendment:

No Candidate for any Federal elected office may declare his or her intentions for election to said office until one year (365 days) prior to the date of the election to be held for said office. Any person declaring his or her intentions for said office is prohibited from running for said office until the following election.

Or something like like. Geesh, this is ridiculous. The primaries are still a year out and the general is 29 months out.

Anyone who rules out supporting Giuliani is being short-sighted.

Rudy will make a good leader, he will take very seriously the nation's defense and security, and he will appoint good judges. The rest is fluff, mostly in the hands of Congress anyway. The purist tantrum-throwers will eventually calm down and be gratified that there is not a rat in the White House on January 20th, 2009. THAT would be a disaster.

I'd have to agree. This is insane.

Everyone is saying "only rudy can win" when the only thing getting him support is his personality and public image. There's no substance, no "there" there. The people who are going to vote in the primaries don't know the real rudy yet. Gun grabbing, pro-illegal immigration, pro roe v wade, pro CFR. All they know is the 'buzz'. Try to extrapolate any polls at this point to what would happen in an election is ridiculous. Hell, polls usually move around at least once or twice during the election itself!
