I might be mistaken but I think I recently read another FReeper who quoted Jim R. pertaining to Rudy. Apparently the owner of this forum is not that big of a Rudy fan.

The poll asked FReepers who they would support in a head-to-head primary race, and EVEN WITH A STRICT CONSERVATIVE ON THE TICKET, only 60% would give the conservative support in the primary. How many of that 60% would be OK with Rudy if he got the nomination anyway? Sounds to me as if plenty of them would. It's much, much worse than I ever imagined it could be. Even on the anti-abortion threads here, a sure draw for religious conservatives, we're getting pro-"choice" posts . . . not from the usual suspects, but from FReepers who have been lurking around here a long while, but now feel emboldened to speak their mind.

Look at the comments on the YouTube site following the Rudy video. The very first one says this:

He is just AWESOME! Giuliani is the only Republican EVERYONE can vote for. You can choose not to have an abortion, but you can't choose not to be killed by a jihadist. Giuliani for '08!

It is not about experience in Washington, it is experience being a CEO.

While I agree that it is preferable to have administrative experience, I remind you that Lincoln, Nixon, Ford, and Truman had none while Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and GWB had been governors, and no, I don't think GWB has been an effective administrator.

The Presidency is about communication and leadership, not pulling levers.

I think conservatives are acquiescing to Rudy's candidacy because they think he is the only one who can beat that woman or that muslim. We Republicans need to remember that, if we lie down with dogs, we get up with fleas. We need to nominate Newt or Hunter. I am even beginning to reluctantly believe that Rudy may be the candidate. If that is the case, I have no meaningful political choice but to vote for him. A third party vote is like giving a vote to the Dems, and staying home is unconscionable.

Which is probably why they haven't invaded this thread with their usual "Rudy is the man" garbage. Anyone who would say Rudy is even remotely a Republican(Conservative) after viewing this video is a Liberal in disguise. His boasting of his support for CFR tells me more than enough about what type of CIC he would be.

Funny part about all of this is that quite a few of his supporters were "Suposedly" vehemently against CFR and those that support it.

I've followed this thread from the start and I noticed that too.

What Rudy had to say on that video is indefensible. I've read it all before but the words coming out of his own mouth are powerful.
