But the fact is that the average global temperature peaked in 1998, nine years ago

1998 may have been a peak closely followed or surpassed say some by 2005 but the average temp. over consecutive years continues to climb.

Same here.

Do you have another link?

If one does a little research, one will find that all the "data" supporting a dramatic increase in CO2 emissions comes from a NOAA research station on the slopes of Mauna Loa on the Island of Hawaii.

If you do a little more research, you will see the station is a few miles away from an active volcano that has been steadily erupting for the past 23 years.

If you do a little more research, you will discover that the primary gas released in a volcanic eruption is CO2.

The reason I went to the original source is because FR has a monitor that tells what papers have to be excerpt!

There is no "consensus" about the small statistical variance between 1998 and 2005, because there is good enough scientists who will side with either year.

But, regardless, it either cooled in some years (some believe) or remained flat in some years (others believe) but for the years 1999 to 2005, almost a decade, the global average did not exceed a peak previously held in 1998. Meanwhile, CO2 continued to pile up. Apparently with not much affect overall.

The near flat-line overall average from 1998 to 2005, irrespective of the little ups and downs in between, do not point, definitively, to a continuing climb of any great magnitude and are completely within prior norms in the data of prior earth warming cycles, needing no man-made C02 to produce them.

The rest is CO2 speculation and religious-scientific orthodoxy, not science.

A good point. What is the global mean CO2 concentration and how is it obtained?

Thank you for the video link! I watched it twice and passed it on to others.

The BBC "inoculated" themselves from criticism by putting the blame on the original political use of global warming in the lap of Margaret Thatcher. I didn't know that she provided the impetus for the creation of the IPCC.

I also really liked the co-founder of Greenpeace, Patrick Moore. He really let go on the environmentalists at the end.

Watch the video from Grandpa Dave, above. It points out that the reason for the rise in temperature during the last 20 years is an increase in solar activity. Furthermore, it is NOT a wild swing as depicted by the "hockey stick".

They show temperature curves used by scientists prior to the current global warming fad which shows a "little ice age" and a "medieval warming period". The year 2000 wasn't nearly as warm as temperatures which occurred during recorded history.

BTW: The video points out that polar bears have survived warm periods far hotter than what we are seeing today or even project into the near "catastrophic" future.

The last 12 minutes of the film indict the global warming alarmists for attempting to thwart economic development in the third world by preventing them access to cheap energy. The co-founder of Greenpeace claimed that they were treating people like scum!

I would like to add that I have an M.A. in mathematics from Arizona State University. In the course of my career I have constructed queueing models using some fairly primitive tools where I had to verify the random number generators and provide my own data distributions.

I can attest that computer models are quite subject to "fiddling" where care must be taken to assure that the results are not biased by the operator. I spent lots of time running my home-made tools against queuing systems where the results could be computed using closed equations in order to validate my techniques.

When the "scientist" makes no attempt to hide his bias the results are probably useless.

I about fell out of my chair when Patrick came on and went after these lying Global Warmists.

Thanks for the feedback. Everyone I sent this link to, who has had some time to review it has been positive, and most of them have sent the link to their friends and relatives. One friend has sent it to left wing druids as he calls them, who have tried to make a religion out of global warming with a comment that their new religion is as shaky as Islam is.

For years, many of us have been trying to point out how racist and elitist the Green Worshipers are re what they try to enforce. They seem hell bent on destroying a large % of the non white population of the third world. From Rachel Carlson's banning of DDT to no Cloning of food to feed those poor people to this latest racist bs.
