It will be fun to watch Newt pound Kerry into the ground with one hand tied behind his back, but since the whole “Global Warming” thing is a religion and not a science, I doubt that many will be converted because those who believe in it do so despite evidence to the contrary.

Doesn't sound like a fair fight to me.

(But it will be fun to watch.)

“Doesn’t sound like a fair fight to me.”

Like killing gnats with a sledgehammer, more like it.

But, it will give the good people of this country (all seven of them)just one more reminder of why John Kerry as President would have been a disaster.

I hope he does not hold back. If he eviscerates this jagdork, and poops on his grave, he will have changed the 2008 dynamics

Newt take this advice if you read FR. Any Republican that takes out a liberal weenie like this will move very close to the head of the line........

But alas, Newt is a Washington insider and does not have the cojones to do what is literally needed (think Dave Schultz vs. Dale Rolfe in 1974 playoffs)

When are we going to have someone from our side drop the gloves and dance (arena of ideas I mean)???

I think Newt may disappoint on this. Hope this is not another one of those come together moments like Newt/Bill - Campaign Finance, Newt/Hillary - Health Care Reform. I think he believes it moderates his image and makes him appear more “presidential”.

You may well be right.  From the Fox News article, it appears that Newt has bought into at least some of the man-made climate change hogwash, and so he may well use the 'face time' to cultivate his public image as you say.

Newt Gingrich to Debate John Kerry on Climate Change

Now how is it that we already know what their opinions on the matter will be?

i couldn’t disagree more re: take out a liberal weenie

kerry is a weenie, but gingrich is actually helping said weenie and the democrats by doing this, simply by helping kerry build his rep/bonafides re: the environment

so how exactly does debating climate change with a doofus like kerry move gingrich to the head of the line ? if he ‘wins’ ?

this just helps kerry fleece more ignorant democrat sheep from their money...its a win/win for kerry, even were he to ‘lose’. explain to me again how this helps conservatives and gingrich ?

puh-lease...this whole thing stinks. arena of ideas ? hockey fights ? jagdork ? pooping on graves ?

this ‘debate’ is a sham and a disservice to conservative causes. hell this debate is a disservice to the environmental movement. both of these idiots are simply getting paid.

You may be right.

I get the sneeky feeling Newt will agree with Kerry but

will only argue about the how. How we spend billions,if

not trillions,on GW so as not to affect GDP to much.

We all know the science. Temps oncrease first, co2

follows. Co2 only accounts for 0.034% of the atmosphere.

And man-made co2 is only 3.4 to 5 % of the total, 0.034%

So apart from rigged UN gov. models that overuse +feed-

backs to achieve their desired results, there is no sane

person who can say man is responsible for the majority of

climate change.

I predict that Kerry will win the debate when he accuses Newt of being a Global Warmingphobe(TM) and Newt caves in a massive attack of Political Correctness(R).

If you want to end any debate just put the word “phobe” at the end.

Anybody know about Newt’s new plan, “Contract with the Earth”? I saw him recently and he was saying it would be available in book form soon. Green and smart was how Newt put it.

Newt used to teach Earth science(or some similar topic) ... not going to be a fair fight.
