Peggy Noonan used to write for Dan Rather, I think. Truth be told, lots of folks use writers. Just not plagiarists. And lots of folks edit heavily the copy that the writers come up with, and usually give the writer direction on what the video essay should take.

True. But the difference here is that CBS has gone with this intensely personal "Katie's Corner" approach, where she is supposed to be offering her unique personal insights as a woman, etc.

It's all packaging, of course. But a story like this blows the packaging all to bits.

Plagiarized from the WSJ? Interesting, the WSJ is one of the more balanced editorial boards in the MSM today.

Perhaps CBS was trying to offer the (Rabid, Extreme, Hard, etc.) Right Wing viewpoint, and realized there was nobody in their news room who could do so sincerely. So they really had no choice but to plagiarize the Wall Street Journal...
