Well, only the editorials lean conservative - the WSJ news pages are just as liberal as the NYT’s. I recall with particular fondness a line in an article last year about communism’s “warm-hearted social programs”. ;)

CBS would not identify the producer fired for the transgression. We just have to "trust" them when they say a producer was fired. They can (and do) say what they want but without a name I don't believe anyone was fired.

The most important qualification to getting hired by CBS is your ability to tie an anchor around your ankles and jump overboard, evidently.

Maybe the “producer” was none other than Katie!

Why not? You don't think the public can handle the truth? Nah... they want to promote him and hire him back in a couple of weeks. He's displayed just the character traits they appreciate in top management.

Little wonder these clowns are dead last in ratings. Little doubt why people don’t trust the MSM.

you are correct Mr Jeeves, some media group did a study on newspapers and the WSJ’s news pages was the most left leaning newspaper in the country, even beating out the NYT’s.

I was thinking the same thing. An act of desperation on the part of Katie to save her failing career.

"Now we know why leftists think all news organizations are biased to the right. They get their best stuff from the WSJ evidently."
Unfortunately, 99.99% of the time the MSM broadcast outfits are merely cribbing from the NY Times, plagiarizing the plagiarizers...... Bernie Goldberg describes in one of his books how CBS "news producers" in his day couldn't take a piss unless it was sanctioned by the NY Times. He gives an example of a story that See-BS kept passing on until it finally appeared on the front page of the NY Times and suddenly it was big news to CBS.

Great post. Absolutely correct. That is what happens with “Arrogance.”
(I love Bernie, btw.)

ROFLMAO!!
We were horrified, CBS News spokeswoman Sandra Genelius said. It was almost verbatim.
LOL.... so Katie Couric's "original" thoughts in this video essay were merely some junior producer plagiarizing the WSJ...... but the rest of the time her "original" thoughts are merely some junior producer putting words in her mouth, and for the latter she is paid $15 or $20 million per year??? At least now we know that when she utters vapid idiocies on camera they may not be her own vapid idiocies -- a 25 year old "producer" may be whispering in her ear, so to speak.

Who wants to know what a junior producer at CBS thinks about something? Peggy Noonan used to write for Dan Rather, I think. Truth be told, lots of folks use writers. Just not plagiarists. And lots of folks edit heavily the copy that the writers come up with, and usually give the writer direction on what the video essay should take. Don't know about CBS, 'cuz I don't have a TV, except for hockey.
