PhiKapMom’s “I’m not posting here any more” thread. She has not been banned, by the way. She is in self-imposed exile.

I hope we don’t let that happen. Electing Hillary would be a severe blow to our military.

Comparing Bush43 to Reagan is wrong.

Ronald Reagan is the gold standard for conservatism. All should be compared to Reagan, the standard. Bush43, in what he accomplished, compares well.

Why? Well it's not because we are living in a conservative, originalist nirvana. It's because getting something done in this politically liberal country is so damn hard to do.

But to compare Reagan to "Bush43" in your view is wrong?

LOL! Sounds like political correctness to me.

Try as I might, I stay several hundred posts behind in this thread. Where did the fuzzy fruit finally get the boot?

Oh, I forgot, I wasn’t supposed to practice psychiatry without a license. Those government papers give you the credibility and capability to make real diagnoses, you know. ;-)

Sadly, I can no longer say, “That’s beneath you.”

I think you misread me. My pappy told me when I was just a youngun, son don't believe everything you read in that newspaper. When I asked why? He said one news paper will tell one side of the story and the other newspaper will tell the other side. Thats the way the printing press began and that is the way it is today. Well that was some time ago. Now, most of the media and hollywood belongs to the demorats and I have stopped listening to the commies a long time ago. So, you either misread me, or you are trying to slander me. If you want a piece of me intellectually, lets throw down. I'll git down with the issues all day. So, lets throw down. If I have the choice between Hillary and Rudy, what does it matter? I will still have to send money to the NRA. If I have the choice between Hillary and Rudy, what does it matter? The unborn will still be at risk. These issues are why I vote Republican. The Republican Party in the past has championed these issue the best.

I will have to evaluate the Party and see who I am standing next to if Rudy wins. I aint going to be standing with gun grabbing baby killers for nobody.

I would rather have a stated enemy, then a friend who is an enemy.

Oh, she knew. Go back and read the whole thread. It was like she was daring him to. In fact she did say "if he wants to ban me, so be it". He even gave her a warning.

There is ONLY one Ronald Reagan and his legacy should be properly respected by ALL cosnervatives.

There is a difference between respect and fealty.

And there is a difference between respect and using his name as a sledgehammer to beat up another great leader.

You are guilty of the latter in both cases.......to the point where your conservativism is in serious question.

If I counter your worship, I'm sure you think I should be banned. But my conservatism is real and across the board, and doesn't rest solely on the adoration of one man, as does yours.

I do not believe that the founders expected us to impose our particular religious view on others. We have the right to worship or not worship according to the dictates of our own consciences. However, the GOP as currently constituted believes that it their duty to impose “Judeo Christian” values (as they interpret them) on everyone. One of the reasons the GOP has been losing elections is exactly that, people view them as doctrinaire and unbending and quite frankly a bunch of busy bodies. We can’t do the real work of gov’t like balancing the budget, reforming taxes, fixing Soc Sec, or fighting a war but the GOP has time to pander for fundamentalist votes. Sorry my view and I’m entitled

What is there to explain? Middle class descent, professional father [later alcoholic] - within the boundaries. Indeed, IQs 160+ usually have parents with IQs 110-125. At higher parental IQ the reversion to the mean kicks in, and at the lower IQs there’s nothing to inherit.

Ten (or eleven, depending on how you count) days since I ‘signed up’. But I read a LOT of old posts before I decided I had something to add.

This, however, has been a marathon. I have probably contributed too much to this thread already. (But it has all been really good stuff!)

And thanks, to you and the others who have said ‘welcome’. I feel right at home, except that most of my family needs ‘adjustment’ in different ways.

You are late to the party, but yes, I’m serious. There were three names “offered” to my request for the name of a freeper who actually said they would “vote for hillary”, and not one of those people ever said they would “vote for hillary”.

My point was, what those three Freepers said was still outrageous.

Wouldn't you agree?

I want to talk about this issue too:

I heard a lot of folks dis President Clinton for his sexual escapades.

I think we should really look at Rudy’s infidelity before we go electing someone who has a lot of stuff that can be thrown back in our face. You might even call Republicans two faced, if they griped about Clinton and over look Rudy.

It's not political correctness. It's abject fear of healthy respect of both men and positive evaluations of George W. Bush.

Reagan man becomes irrational if you do that, to the point where he is willing to give Reagan a black eye in a flailing attempt to defend him.

True, but I’d say his numbers would have been the same as Tancredo’s were. The overwhelming majority of us supported Bush.

"If you, as a conservative, help Hillary get into the White House, you will, in fact, be responsible for the demise of America."

Actually, it may be my fault. /sarcasm for those who cannot understand that.
