Well, step number one will be building a database of his quotes, speeches, transcripts, video clips, etc. We’re looking for the words straight out of the horse’s mouth (so to speak).

Next will be a database of his actual deeds and record throughout his public life. And while doing this we’ll be cataloging and indexing all the news articles we can find that document his liberalness, corruption, and unconstitutional abuses.

We’ll also start uncovering his corruption and hidden business dealings that he’s been carrying on even as an elected public official and that’s made him and his partners a ton of money off his government contacts, etc (and no one’s really delved into this aspect yet - as he’s kept his financial dealings off the table to this point and the press hasn't brought it up - why is that?).

We can do all of this on FR under our charter as a conservative discussion site, but at some point there will have to be another entity involved which FR will not be part of. This will have to a registered entity ala the Swift Boat Vets that can raise funds to put together a national ad campaign to introduce the truth about Rudy to the nation.

Hopefully, there’s one or more already out there, but if not one will have to be formed and up and running as quickly as possible.

Rudy Giuliani is about to be Swift Boat Vetted right outta here!

Old Mil, I noticed you had some of this stuff.

Not a very good opus, habs4ever.

You mean that opening her mouth and inserting a shotgun was not a very good opus?

And those who can’t bear the truth about Giuliani and can’t understand why conservatives outright reject such a repulsive liberal, should get out of the kitchen now, because we’ve barely begun to fight.”

dmw if I may make one slight but important correction:

And eight months out, Rudy leads by a solid margin, in an aggregate of all the polls. That is A FACT.

As always - a light in the darkness,

Listen, I'll take the complement. I really appreciate it.

But for Gods sake man, does it really take 3,000 plus posts to argue about whether or not to support a guy who is diametrically opposed to everything the founder of this board stands for?

What is that?

Even if you have to move your lips as you read it, the FR Homepage can't take more than a minute or two to struggle through. Hell, there aren't even any really big words on it.

Anyone who actually reads the words posted there and then wanders in spouting off how Giuliani is the best thing for America since sliced freaking bread deserves every single bit of opprobrium we can heap on their vacuous little heads.

Until such time as Jim changes the stated goals and directions of this forum, people need to respect the fact that Giuliani and the ideas he represents are unacceptable around here.

They're free, for now anyway, to start their own forums promoting their guy. At least until their guy Rudy is running things. He seems to have a problem with the free exercise of political speech.

But what they aren't, or at least shouldn't be able to do in my view, is come into someone elses house and start mouthing off to the guy who owns the place and telling the other invited guests that they're duty bound somehow to support someone who doesn't seem to agree with one single fundamental principle they hold dear.

That's crap.

The only way Rudy will be knocked out of the primaries is if he runs out of money, i.e. support. It’s not gonna happen. His base of support is too broad.

This is EXACTLY what was said about Howard Dean four years ago, and if you think Dean's collapse was spectacular, wait until you see Rudy fall apart when he has to debate genuine conservatives.

You are assuming he will be totally exempt from scandals. I have a gut feeling his opposition's assault hasn't even hit the fan yet.

Yeah, we were all lying about Rudy. His pro-abortion statements, speaking alongside Chuck Schumer to Handgun Control, supporting homosexual rights...just wild-eyed, right-wing accusations from the VRWC. We were wrong, he's actually a conservative. (GUFFAWS)

Either the term "socialism" means something or it doesn't. Obviously to you it means something about homosexuals.

I don't live in that world. I don't live in a world where words get new definitions because we want to use them to describe something or someone who we hate.

I really hope we haven't gotten to the point where we can't use words that have a common understanding.

I'll just say this clearly once, and then you can all take potshots at me. Giuliani is at best a social moderate. He is in no way a socialist. His policies and statements are 100% opposite of that. You can hate him for many things, but if you hate him for being a socialist, you either don't understand the concept or you're just hurling insults and you don't care whether they're true or not.

Do you have any freaking idea how many people that post here do so because of Mr.Robinson ?

Respect is earned, not owed. Jim has earned his!

It takes a very small, angry, person to post what you just did and what it shows is your self hate.

Dean was attractive because he was unknown, a seeming fresh face. Rudy is known. He does not come to this as a new entity. The two cannot be compared.
