From Roman Catholic Governor to Episcopal Bishop: perfect!
And the theology course when your transferring from Roman Catholicism is very simple.
Repeat after me (with regard to ANY aspect of Faith or Morals):
“All may, some do, none must.”
Can’t you just picture “The Robinsons” and “The McGreeveys” on a “gay cruise” vacation together!
The other posters are right, you really could NOT make it up!
On the other hand, the Episcopal minister must have been shocked to meet someone who ACTUALLY WANTED TO JOIN THE CHURCH (and not just another divorced Catholic looking for a place to have the second wedding!).

I remember the first time I went to Kanki, similar to Benihana, and sat there with this oriental guy slinging knives only a table width away and giving me a smile.
I was uh,..uncomfortable.

Satire is less funny when it actually happens in real life.I agree. This would be hilarious, unpeecee satire on SNL, for example, but it's completely disgraceful when it really happens. Has the ECUSA abandoned any decency whatsover, or will they actually allow this?

Episcopal That’s pretty much the only option for somebody like McGreevey, right?
Either that or Massachusetts school principal.

I feel sorry for his parents.
His father especially, he was a Marine - hardworking man - this son continued to shame the family.

Do Episcopalians allow Gerbils behind the pulpit????

To be fair, Augustine Of Hippo led a life of sin and depravity before becoming a devout Catholic. There IS a difference. Can you tell?
