.....as a result of the creation of a 24-hour hotline and increased community outreach and information efforts, the City expects more hate crime victims to come forward, resulting in an increase in the number of reported hate crime incidents...He he he.
'How many hate crimes will you need for the next photo op, Mr Mayor?'

No mention of when Rudy barred the elephant dung painting of the Virgin Mary back in 1999? Or when he gave Arafat the old heave-ho at Lincoln Center? Or when he told that Saudi prince what to do with his bloody millions after 9/11?

"As part of the initiative, the Hate Crimes Task Force will receive $3.8 million in funding to quadruple staffing; create a sophisticated hate crimes database to monitor bias incidents and track hate organizations; establish a hate crime prevention training program aimed at elementary and middle school students; and increase the budget for special hate crime investigations, such as the ongoing investigation into the recent acts of vandalism against religious symbols.Emphasis mine
Left undefined are hate crimes, bias incidents and Hate organizations. I can see a very large umbrella covering most Conservative groups and Christian churches. Also, the children will be indoctrinated.

Hello Jim,
None of the candidates meet the Reagan standard and that may be why we are so undecided. At this point, I am waiting for Tom Coburn to run. He won’t and that’s good for us in the Senate, but it’s a sad day that none of the candidates seem to be bringing conservatives together.
Rudy’s scrutiny is a good thing— as another poster said, we should hold the other candidates to the same level of review. Not to be mean, but to have an accurate understanding of whom we’d be voting for in 2008.
I appreciate Mitt Romney, but as a resident of Massachusetts, I know that he did not lead the legislature- he did not increase Republican affiliation or state candidates— not because he didn’t try, but that he could not. If he can’t lead Beacon Hill, what’s he going to do with the House and the Senate? He was and is a marvellous administrator— give him something to run and he will persuade left and right alike. But dealing with other elected pols is another issue.
Similarly, other candidates do not have executive experience, other than Mike Huckabee, and while I appreciate his brilliant idea of the “tax me more fund” box on the state income taxes, IIRC, he did increase taxes. I may be wrong and if so, I appreciate any correction.
So we may be faced with electing someone who tells us what we like but can’t deliver because he doesn’t have the management skills that Reagan had (golly, he negotiated with unions). But at this point, I have something that I don’t agree with or trust with each of the candidates.
Fred Thompson is a great guy, but there’s more to get to know before making a decision. I have to treat a McCain ally with reservation.
You are the best :-)
Cheers,
sl

But no doubt Rudy's will be the fattest in the pile.
The other candidates may have a quote here, or a bad vote there. But Rudy is the posterboy for abortion and the anti-gun movement.

Hate Crime = Thought police = Special rights for certain groups
Too bad Rudy isn’t running under the Dims banner...he certainly would fit in!

will there be a truth file for every candidate, or just Rudy Giuliani? A truth file is necessary for a candidate like Rooty. He is out there spinning and covering the facts of his liberalism to sell himself to conservatives.
There is an abundance of evidence to the contrary which is necessary to expose.

Yikes! Giuliani is the leftist’s trojan horse. What could any Republican be thinking in their mind when they even briefly consider nominating that liberal?
