Veto It — Again
Investors Business Daily ^ | May 9, 2007 | IDB

Congress: Having gone back to the drawing board, the best the Democrats can offer is to fund the war in Iraq for two months. If President Bush is presented with such a bill, he should veto it like he did the last one.

It's possible that Democrats in the House are so blinded by their hatred of the president that they don't realize the deep damage they're doing to the country. If they get their way, America will lose a war. This is simply unconscionable.

The Senate's own sorry counterpart to the House's bill of surrender would force the U.S. military and Iraqi government to meet certain "benchmarks" to get funding.

This is no way to run a war. Wars are won by soldiers on the ground, not by government accountants doling out money in dribs and drabs and checking the books every 10 minutes......

The Democrats are doing a good job of ensuring the President isn’t a ‘lame duck’....(chuckle)

If there ever was such a thing in regards to any seated President in the first place....

It may be high theatre to watch Bush and dumbass in Congress go at each other.

To the folks in the war zone, the bickering may not be so much fun.

We have a large number - over 3K - of our folks in theater right now (Ft Richardson, AK) fighting and dieing.

And the Post is starting to cancel contracts for base services and reduce other services due to funding issues - directly impacting the families left behind.

So Harry, Nancy, Ted, et al - either cut the funds outright and be dome with it, or get with the program!

W should suspend all congressional use of military aircraft until full funding is restored. Transfer funds for the limo services to the Mil. also.
Make it a bit uncomfortable for the critters..

“Sort of like Vietnam?”

The real similarities (Iraq and Vietnam) is the ability of the U.S. Marxists to convert the Democrats into a domestic force against their own country.
