I’m glad that I don’t even know who this chump is. I’ve heard his name a couple times lately and it’s never been connected to anything positive, so I guess I’m not missing anything. He sounds like a world-class nimrod.

Playing to his audience in their vernacular?

This fool is a ticking bomb. One of these days he’s going to say something so outrageous the public as a whole won’t be able to ignore it. In the meantime, we should be thankful that he’s not intelligent enough to cloak his bias in neutral-sounding words.

Hey Nit, how's things?

It seems to me that if he can get away with saying this stuff, directly attacking the troops, there isn't a whole lot he won't get away with. It will be interesting to see what comes of these comments in the coming days.

The NFL just needs a little more to jump the shark themselves. The slow removal of games over to the NFL Network, made worse by Bryant Gumbel doing them, thugs like Pacman Jones running wild, and now Olberman. Not pretty.

Now yes, Goodell did suspend Jones for the year, but if he changes a day of it after the appeal, it's going to send a way wrong message. If he stays strong, the shark stays away longer, but these other things are going to eat away at it.

I couldn't stand Olberman when he on ESPN, let alone now. His presence is going to alienate people. He's not going to stop being a smug clymer just because there's a game at hand.

That MSNBC keeps such a transparent political propagandist in a “News” job raises serious answers questions about MSN and NBC’s crediblity and Journalistic Ethics.

There; fixed it.

derided the efforts of law enforcement official in rounding up suspects dubbed the "Fort Dix Six", saying "the FBI arrested six 'morons'".

Herr Olbermeister is just upset that some of his fellow morons got arrested.

God forbid these terrorsts were able to carry out just 1/4 of their plan. Could you imagine Olbermoron screaming about the intelligence failure and "why nobody was able to connect the dots"? Well - the dots were connected and he's probably upset that the plan was thwarted.

You are talking about some sports idiot who is on a TV channel that it as important as a 40W light bulb?
Why bother? Olberman is a fart bubble in the news tub of life.

I don't know, apparently his name was enough of a "bother" for you to click on the thread. But thanks anyway, for the cogent, insightful comments to the wrong person.

Now is the time for all the families of those serving stand up and be counted. They should DEMAND Olbermann be fired. Who the hell cares about asking him for an apology? I would DEMAND his resignation. But...it is up to those who have loved ones serving to stand tall and together against this low, rag of a person. I hope they do.

I didn’t see your post but mine is similar. Nothing will be done as long as people don’t demand it.

Keith Olbermann strikes me as a paranoid on the verge of a breakdown. He is way too bitter and way too into personal attacks and obsessed with Bill O’Reilly.

Considering the fact that this is a few days old already, and there isn't much coverage of it, I'm not holding my breath.

I just hope, now that some major blogs have picked it up, the story will get some legs.

Spread the word.

Herr Olbermann is still employed because his viewpoints accurately reflect the politics and mentality of the owners, CEO's and other big shots in charge of policy at PMSNBC.

If he didn't, he'd have been Imus-ed a long time ago.

But Imus was a reliable outlet for all the DC liberals. They could go on his show and say practically anything without being challenged, yet they dumped him anyway. I fear that since this all broke on a weekend, he will get away with it.

We do spread the word. It’s just so frustrating that these kinds of hatred by scum like olberman and his ilk just don’t inspire people to rise up. Boggles my mind.

I went to the link and read the whole transcript. The quote plucked from his speech, hateful as it is, at least forms a complete thought. The rest of it is a rambling, incoherent mess. Reads like he was drunk or stoned.

In other words, SNAFU.

Hopefully the major radio talk show hosts will get hold of this story for tomorrow.
