Exactly. I've been to Romania twice and my receptionist is from there (her husband escaped while it was still a dictatorship - she came after the revolution). The people there love the freedom loving portion of the U.S. The don't like the communist-minded liberals. If you live through communism you NEVER want to go back.

I think the Poles are on the right track. But I’m a great believer in experimentation. Someone has a Tagline about Europe contracepting, buggering, aborting themselves out of existence. If some nations want to go that way, that’s their choice. Their mistake will probably be compounded by a Muslim invasion. Even if, by some stretch, it is the Poles who are mistaken, a true understanding of tolerance would allow such a mistake. We have our own parallels in our blue and red states.

Your post seems to reflect a belief in cultural relativism. The issue is based on starting points. The Poles have determined that the family is the starting point. This reduces all arguments to a basic social contract, the family.

Defining the family in its most basic and elemental form - a man, a woman and children - delineates pro family from anti family forces.

All we are saying is that abortion, homosexuality, pornography, atheism, socialism and sexual promiscuity are anti family. It is that simple.
