Bravo Poland!
TimeSarkozy in France starts visibly attending Catholic mass in Paris. Nothing, but nothing would bite into Le monde’s editors so much.

The photo of the Commie era statue at the website presents a golden opportunity for some photoshopping. ( Marx. Engels. Lenin. CLINTON;)

Political Correctness has run amock in Europe even more than in the United States. To each his own, of course, but that doesn’t mean such behavior should be encouraged by the government.
The Poles mentioned in this article are being completely reasonable.

Moments like these make me proud of my paternal ancestral homeland.
Now if only they could get the socialist bug out of the gene pool...

I never want to hear another Polish joke.Conservative columnist, Don Feder, after complimenting the Poles for refusing to cave in on the subject of homosexual marriage.

Same here, Clemenza. My maternal grandparents were from Poland. I’m proud to be a second generation American of Polish descent.

Another country rises up against militant anti-family government propoganda. The government shouldn’t be involved in this issue at all.

Bravo, Poland is accomplishing something America has failed at: keeping sinful propaganda out of its public schools.

"If you've been victim of communists and Nazis, you're not going to run in fright from the forces from San Francisco." Exactly. I've been to Romania twice and my receptionist is from there (her husband escaped while it was still a dictatorship - she came after the revolution). The people there love the freedom loving portion of the U.S. The don't like the communist-minded liberals. If you live through communism you NEVER want to go back.

I find it strange that Poland is so alone in Europe, at least they have the guts to put what they believe to be the best path for their country right out on “front street” with no apologies offered.

Political Correctness has run amock in Europe even more than in the United States. And you wonder why George Orwell wrote the famous essay Politics and the English Language in 1946.

I think the Poles are on the right track. But I’m a great believer in experimentation. Someone has a Tagline about Europe contracepting, buggering, aborting themselves out of existence. If some nations want to go that way, that’s their choice. Their mistake will probably be compounded by a Muslim invasion. Even if, by some stretch, it is the Poles who are mistaken, a true understanding of tolerance would allow such a mistake. We have our own parallels in our blue and red states.

I think the Poles are on the right track. But Im a great believer in experimentation. Your post seems to reflect a belief in cultural relativism. The issue is based on starting points. The Poles have determined that the family is the starting point. This reduces all arguments to a basic social contract, the family.
Defining the family in its most basic and elemental form - a man, a woman and children - delineates pro family from anti family forces.
All we are saying is that abortion, homosexuality, pornography, atheism, socialism and sexual promiscuity are anti family. It is that simple.

It is that simple. All those influences have been around for hundreds of years and concern for the shrinking family was not an issue then. We have to look for another factor to explain a lower birth rate.

I probably was not clear. The experimentation that I had in mind was at the national level. Poland should do things the Polish way, as opposed to the EU way, or some other way.

Poland...the land of Pope John Paul II, Saint Faustina, and Saint Maximillian Kolbe.
I’m Irish through and through, but I have a love for Poland!

“All those influences have been around for hundreds of years..”
But probably not to the same degree, or with the same level of acceptance.

These activities were never the law of the land before the last 40 years. Look no further than the end of your nose.
