Giuliani Calls Ron Paul 'Absurd' on 9/11
NewsMax, AP ^ | May 15, 2007

On defense for much of the evening, Giuliani switched to the attack nearly an hour into the debate, challenging Rep. Ron Paul's suggestion that the U.S. bombing of Iraq had contributed to the terrorist attacks of 2001.

As someone who lived through 9/11, the man who was New York mayor at the time, Giuliani said sternly, "I don't think I've ever heard that before, and I have heard some pretty absurd explanations."

His rebuke to Paul drew some of the loudest applause of the night from the partisan audience at the University of South Carolina campus.

Giuliani said in the post-debate interview that he didn’t understand what Ron Paul said about “blowback”. That is not surprising from someone who doesn’t understand how interventionist foreign policy can contribute to hatred of Americans by the 10 foreign nationals who committed their well-coordinated suicide in his city on U.S. aircraft on September 11. Giuliani will obfuscate how his disdain for INS policy in the weeks/months before 9/11 with his promotion of sanctuary laws allowing foreigners on expired visas protected by Giuliani’s santuary to hijack U.S. aircraft from NY airports and turn right back on them ! Rudia’s personal contribution to the attack in his city will come out further in the New Hampshire GOP debate on June 5.

In fact, after the debate, I plan on donating some money to his campaign. He’s got my vote.
++++
That’s apalling to me.

"It's going to be Hillary and Obama and they will be a srong force to beat.."

It possible - for at least two reasons:
1. The level of intelligence and ability to vote for what is best for the long range benefit of America has been diminished by the dumbing down of Americans and the invasion of immigrants - both legal and illegal whose voting instincts are driven by the leech reflex.
"What's in it for me"?presumptively

2. The "conservative" party in America has been diluted by cowards, morons and professional appeasers.

Unless a major new strike against America by our enemies, angers and stiffens the resolve of Americans to FIGHT.
NONE of the Democrat candidates or the Democrat party of today can be relied upon to fight external enemies.. They're too busy fighting for power within the country.. Republicans, Conservatives, Christians and producers are the only attractive enemy to Democrats....

I hate this.

People can’t support Rudy here anymore, but useful idiots can quote propaganda straight out of the mouth of fanatics like Osama bin Laden.

Literally.

FreeRepublic.com has turned into bizarro world the last few months.

I agree 100%.

Yet they are supporting Ron Paul!!

In the next debate Ron Paul will be talking about his crazy Aunt in the attic. Where did they find this guy?

I thought HE was the crazy aunt in the attic.

“I am quite aware that the manner in which we entered into that war was not on a sound Constitutional footing.”

It’s on the same constitutional footing as John Adams’ Quasi War, Thomas Jefferson’s First Barbary War and James Madison’s Second Barbary War. Ron Paul also voted to authorize force in Afghanistan without a declaration of war.

Ron Paul was absurd. He is the only candidate that I would not vote for.  This guy could never be trusted with our security.

Ron Paul won two polls tonight on "who won the debate", the vote.com poll and the Fox News poll.

Neither scientific, both open to Paul's natural allies: leftist anti-American nutbars.

Ron Paul NEVER "blamed the US for 9/11", those were the Fox Moderator's words, which Giuliani siezed upon.

That's a strawman right there. Paul might not have used those precise words, but he sure as hell blamed the US for 9/11.

I am comforted by the fact that Ron Paul will never be President of the United States.

“Although Congress never voted on a formal declaration of war, they did authorize the President”

However, Ron Paul’s apologists here always claim that the war in Iraq is unconstitutional because Congress didn’t vote for a formal declaration of war.

And on this issue, Rudy is absolutely right. Paul is just a different kind of nutroot.
