WASHINGTON -- Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton separately declared their support Tuesday for a March 31, 2008, cutoff in funds for the Iraq war, two Democratic presidential front-runners abruptly shifting positions on a key issue.
The twin announcements came on the eve of the largely symbolic Senate vote on the cutoff and as Obama and Clinton compete for the support of anti-war activists.
Obama said he would vote for a cutoff as well as a second bill setting standards for the Iraqi government ''not because I believe either is the best answer, but because I want to send a strong statement to the Iraqi government, the president and my Republican colleagues that it's long past time to change course.''
The legislation would require the ''safe, phased withdrawal of U.S. forces'' within 120 days. After March 31, 2008, all funds would be cut off for the deployment of troops in Iraq, with three exceptions.

It’s so unbelievable that these creeps would risk another 9-11 because of their utter hatred of the president. And what’s going to happen when Iran and other terrorists get control of the Iraqi oil fields? Because if we bail from Iraq as we did Viet Nam (again because of the democRats), the world oil market will suffer, not to mention the wholesale slaughter that will ensue in Iraq.

This position alone will prevent this inexperienced “empty suit” from ever becoming President! Many dems may be against the war...but they would never pull the rug out from under troops engaged in combat against sworn enemies bent on destroying our way of life.
They’re not just risking it, they’re hoping for it.
Obama is proving that he’s a true man of Allah. We can expect a ground swell of support for him from the Islamo-facists that will be dutifully ignored and hidden by the MSM.

If they weren’t just pandering to the left, they would simply vote no on the funding bill right now.
I support Obama, I just don't support his presidential campaign.

Can we do it now so that we don’t have to hear any more B.S. from this guy? I despise him even more than I despise Hillary, and I really didn’t think that was possible!
