The success or failure of Normandy affected Hitler more in an hour than had years of pleading with him in the 1930s.Man, ain't that the truth. I like the idea of a President who reads (and quotes) Victor Davis Hansen. Go Fred!

What’s the quote? (paraphrasing):
“Those societies that fail to study military history will be destroyed by those that do.”

Once again, Thompson makes a clear, factual error in one of these articles, which are the heart of his campaign-that-is-not-yet-a-campaign. He refers to a "battle at Valley Forge." There was, of course, never any battle at Valley Forge. There was a critical survival of George Washington, but no battle.

Apparently Fred didn’t learn during his college days in the 60’s that folk songs are all that is needed for us to defend ourselves against those who wish us harm.

Guitars are the weapons we bring,
In the fight against poverty, war, and injustice,

If for no other reason than that we want to avoid war whenever we can, universities should at least offer the option of studying it. this is the same logic used for war games that the military engages in.
i have posted all the FDT websites that i can find on my profile page. Please let me know if i have missed some and i will add them.

Yup and
“We are the folk song Army
Everyone one of us cares
We all hate poverty war and injustice
Unlike the rest of you squares”
“There are innocuous folk songs yeah
But we regard them with scorn
The folks who write them have no social concience
Why they don’t even care if Jimmy Cracked Corn”
:)

"Remember the war against Franco,
That's one where each one of us belongs.
They may have won all the battles
But we had all the good songs!"
Boy did ol' Tom ever hit the nail on the head.
My daughter's a freshman at college, and somebody was playing "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park", and she remarked, "I remember my parents playing that when I was little."
"That explains a lot," said somebody. < g >

there were 2 battles in the area of Valley Forge- June 28 at Monmouth Courthouse. Another At Germantown in OCT.
The history lesson is about leadership at Valley Forge
