San Francisco owns its city streets too. So they can just ban guns on city streets. Even in the trunk of a car, even with a trigger lock. That way, while it would be legal to own a gun, it would be legally impossible to acquire a gun and get it into a home.
A happy result all around. The city gets its gun-free zone, the criminals get a safe pass into anybody’s home they want into, and the need for gun control goes up because statistics now show that all gun use turns out to be illegal.

The perverted communists of Nancy Pelosi’s model socialist society, are at it again. The very idea of people having individual rights in the communist community of San Freakcisco is beyond the pale. Let us hope these pinko totalitarians get slapped down again.

"Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn't mean that we're not going to walk into that home and check to see if you're being responsible and safe in the way that you conduct your affairs," District Attorney Kamala Harris said. Try this on for size bitch:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Unintended irony is lost on neo-Marxists. They have no more regard for the 4th Ammendment than the 2nd. Unless of course the Bush adminstration wants to find out what books terrorist have checked out of a public library.

!!!
The DA is saying that they are going to walk into a locked home to see if people are compliant?
I can see so many problems with this...

And some people wonder why we still support the 2nd amendment.

I wouldn't live in a place like this for anything. I'm looking forward to the day I escape from this crappy state all together. I'm down to 6 months a year and even that is too much to take.

No, she will send the police who she despises into the gunowner’s home. But when some gangbanger deliblerly kills a cop she won’t seek the death penalty because she finds it immoral.

“The idea is to remind legal gun owners how to behave.”
Yeah, that’s why they’re called legal gun owners, because they don’t know how to behave.

The criminals are going to have a field day robbing all those businesses that have no guns for defense.

The idea is to remind legal gun owners how to behave. Too bad the residents of SFO don't have it to remind their elected officials how to behave. The fact that they would submit to such practice is embarrassing for me even to observe.

>>The announcement comes nearly one year after a judge struck down a law banning handgun possession in San Francisco.<<
What?! There is a judge with sanity on guns in Cali?
Maybe there is hope for humanity.

Just because they have taken up over 2000 guns doesn’t mean that those people haven’t gone out and replaced them.
