I hope those anti-smoking zealots enjoy the non-ownership police state they have created.

Polluting the air other people breathe is not a right.
Exhaling alone pollutes the air. People with colds pollute the air. How far are we going to take this?

Yea we have them here, there serve EVERYONE, memership not required or checked. Theonly time we are allowed to serve non-members without a member is if our banquest hall has been rented and those renting it have the proper alcohol license from the state. State law, not Lodge policy.
It just so happens while tending bar at the Moose Lodge last night I happened to run into this situation. Folks who have rented our hall for Saturday were in decorating and wanted to buy a beer, even though none were members. I couldn't serve them. Had one of the members signed themin as guests it would have been a different story, but none of the members present at the time knew any of them, so they couldn't be signed in.

Well yall do it the right way, here where I live there is no difference bewteen a public bar and a VFW, etc. Except the VFW’s etc get all kinds of competitive advantages over bars. Banning smoking in public bars but not VFW’s, etc. would put all public bars out of business.

On a business trip to Utah a few years back I was told drinking is only allowed at private clubs.
Many of these private clubs looked like regular bars to me. There were a lot of them. A membership to the club cost $2 at the door.

An armed invasion of the legislature?
Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder what kind of response our Forefathers would have given that question. Considering the FREEDOM we have and enjoy in this Country today.
What is FREEDOM? Some how I am missing something by reading history and the dictionary. I want the FREEDOM our Founders gave us not what politicians have allowed us.

Cain granted the request of a restaurant and bar owners group to block the exemption from taking effect.Restaurant and bar owners didn't want private clubs to be exempted because they knew it would result in them losing business. Smokers would, of course, choose to go where they can smoke.
Government should butt out and let businesses choose whether or not to allow smoking. Let the market decide.

That would bare too much resemblance to a FREE market. Can’t have that in America.

Polluting the air other people breathe is not a right.Oh puhleeze. If you don't want to breath 'second hand smoke', then don't go to establishments that allow smoking. There are plenty that are smoke free BY CHOICE.

You will never keep your FREEDOM with just words. I feel sorry for those that believe that. All I can assume by this forum is that many people like to hear themselves complain and lack the conviction to lay their life down for what they believe. Unless of course the government tells you to do so and brainwashes you into believing it is right.

Fighting for ones FREEDOM is considered a rampage? I can tell by your posts that you are one who deserves all the government regulation they can muster. Someday maybe, just maybe, they might hit a cord that will bring you to the understanding that this Country no longer represents what we so audatiously tout as a FREE Country.
