The Lord is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all HE has made.
The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.

Psalm 145: 17 – 19

I am publicly stating the facts of what is going on this site. It is dark times on FR when people are calling to surrender and defeat in the war on terror and calling the President a traitor.

I am praying we capture or kill Bin Laden or Al Zawahiri soon so these folks will go back to the caves where they were hiding. Notice that most of them do not participate in any thread that show us defeating the enemy. Trust me there is a good number of people on this forum, a minority though, who hate President Bush than they hate Bin Laden.

Many of us have noticed that. That’s why I don’t take them seriously.

God bless you, ejo. You have meant so much to me over the years.

I do not make this decision easily, and it is with a great heaviness of heart that it had to be made.

I am confident that God is guiding me in this, and the hope that I have in Jesus Christ has never been stronger. I will not stop praying for this nation, nor for our President nor our troops.

I will just not do it here.

Guennie, WE know the real truth behind the exodus taking place.

If these people want to be with their friends, that's understandable, but to trash FR as an excuse for an exit, is shameful..

It's disingenuous.

God bless you all.

Joining in almost daily since November. I have shared with you how this prayer thread has been a support to me and that I would not post frequently, but that you all should know how much this thread has been a source of peace and comfort.

I pray you will all continue to be with us and lead us. My prayers are not eloquent. May His peace be with you all in these difficult times. May we all feel His comfort now. He is in control and all things work according to His plan.

Joining you in prayer.

All other ground is sinking sand
A dying maze of desert land
Where darkness rules the heart of man
Till the Son shines light on him

Lord of all, show You’re strong
On our knees we fall

Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone

The building swaying in the wind
The towers crumble down again
This certainly will be the end
If they’re not built on Him

Lord of all, show You’re strong
On our knees we fall

Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone

You, You are the Builder of my heart
You held me together from the start

Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone
Cornerstone; Richard Brown & Gregory Hionis

I am sad, but I fully understand your decision, oWf. Thank you for your leadership on this thread and for your enthusiasm for President Bush on the Dose. God bless you!

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you this evening, unsure of what exactly has transpired to make our sister, OhioWFan leave us after so many years of faithfulness on this thread; but knowing full well that it would never have been a decision that she made lightly or in haste. Lord, may you bless her greatly as she seeks to lead others to seek YOU. May you fill her heart with the things that glorify You and edify her and Your church. And may You give her insight as she continues her prayers for this President and this nation elsewhere. As to those who have disagreed with her on this thread; I pray that You would speak to their hearts as well and give them Your peace. Each and every one of us has opinions and Free Republic has been a forum that has allowed us the privelege of expressing them for many years now. Certainly, there have been times where abuse has occurred on this forum and has gone unpunished. You have seen those times from the beginning of this forum even until these recent days. You know the hearts and the motivations behind what was levied. I pray that Your truth will prevail in the hearts of the abusers, and that those who have ill-will towards this nation and wish failure for this President will lose their ability to post here. Regardless of how one has felt about President Bush's policies, we simply do not have the liberty to pick and choose when we should pray for him. If he has made a mistake with the "Amnesty" bill, then it's not time to give up praying for him but to double up on those prayers. For, Lord, we know he is but a man, with feet of clay. But we know that the God of the Universe controls his fate and the fate of this nation. And so, we lift him up to You. We lift our congress up to You. We lift this forum up to You knowing that those who shun You now will one day bow before You. May You be glorified in all that we say and do and may You bless this nation and our President with all of the spiritual blessings that are needed for such a time as this. In the precious name of Christ Jesus I pray these things. Amen.

Go in peace, sister OWF.

Oh Lord, please guide our wonderful president through these challenging days ahead. Give him the strength and courage to broker a legitimate immigration bill for our blessed country. Lord, hear us as we beseech you to help the president find a way to solve this divisive issue. We know that 12 million impoverished, desperate human beings simply want a safe and happy home, whether it’s here in Nebraska or some other state in our magnificent country. Lord, grant the president the strength and wisdom to give all of these illegals a safe home in our great country.

As you leave, I feel the need for my favorite hymn, which is played at every All Saints Day Mass. God bless you for all of your work, ohioWfan, and I will continue to pray for the President. I say a Rosary for him as often as I can.

The question that we all must wrestle with is when confronted with bad things, should we leave or should we stay and try to fight? I have given up the fight, too, although I still lurk on the fringes of the forum to check on people here who are still dear to me. I probably will simply fade from sight over the next few months.

All I know is that there are some very bad people here and it is too much for me to try and fight with them.

And now, the hymn:

For all the saints, who from their labors rest,
who thee by faith before the world confessed,
thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

2. Thou wast their rock, their fortress, and their might;
thou Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;
thou in the darkness drear, their one true light.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

3.O may thy soldiers, faithful, true, and bold,
fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,
and win with them the victor's crown of gold.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

4.O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in thee, for all are thine.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

5.And when the strife is fierce, the warfare long,
steals on the ear the distant triumph song,
and hearts are brave again, and arms are strong.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

6.From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost:
Alleluia, Alleluia!

Perhaps our distant triumph song will be heard wherever we are. God bless you, ohioWfan and jveritas.

If you leave the troublemakers win. Ignore them. That has been my policy from the beginning.

Ignore them Ohio. Don’t let them chase you away. Don’t repond to troublemakers. If they invade your thread hit the abuse buttom. What is left behind if all the good people leave???
