Sen. Lindsey Graham booed at S.C. Republican Convention over "emotional topic" of immigration

The crowd booed South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a key ally of McCain in both his 2000 and 2008 presidential bids, when he said he had worked with U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., on the immigration legislation.

"It's the best bill I think we can get to President Bush," Graham said as some in the crowd shouted "No!"

Graham was cheered earlier in his speech when he talked about the war in Iraq. After the speech, Graham said he was booed on immigration because "it's an emotional topic. People are mad."

South Carolina's other U.S. senator, Jim DeMint, is on opposite sides from Graham: He supports Romney and said he opposes an immigration bill that allows permanent residency of illegal aliens.

McCain is not in that picture making the rounds. But McCain and Kennedy were the architects of last year's Amnesty bill which this year's is just a version of. These senators don't represent the people but are just socialist, liberal, communist, Marxist, evil backstabbing villains. These liberal villains are bent on destroying America and turning our great capitalism driven civilization into Cuba or Venezuela with Hillary as Castro, Stalin, Pol Pot or Chavez leading the genocide.
Immigration Equals Multiculturalism Equals Suicide Karl Marx defined the essence of Socialism as abolishing private property. Let’s assume for a moment that a country can be treated as the "property" of its citizens. Its inhabitants are responsible for creating its infrastructure. They have built its roads and communications, its schools, universities and medical facilities. They have created its political institutions and instilled in its people the mental capacities needed for upholding them. Is it then wrong for the citizens of this country to want to enjoy the benefits of what they have themselves created? According to Marxist logic, yes. .....

We should remember that this view of culture as largely unimportant is essentially a Marxist view of the world, which has now even been adopted by segments of the political Right, united with Leftists in the belief that man is homo economicus, the economic man, the sum of his functions as worker and consumer, nothing more.

Marxism doesn’t say that cultures or ideas are of absolutely no consequence, but that they are of minor or secondary importance next to structural and economic conditions. I have heard individuals state point blank that even if Muslims become the majority in our countries in the future, this doesn’t matter because all people are equal and all cultures are just a mix of everything else, anyway. And since religions are just fairy-tales, replacing one fairy-tale, Christianity, with another fairy-tale, Islam, won’t make a big difference. All religions basically say that the same things in different ways. However, not one of them would ever dream of saying that all political ideologies “basically mean the same thing.” They simply don’t view religious or cultural ideas as significant, and thus won’t spend time on studying the largely unimportant details of each specific creed. This is Marxist materialism.

The unstated premise behind this is that the age of distinct cultures is over. All peoples around the world will gradually blend into one another. Ethnic, religious and racial tensions will disappear, because mankind will be one and equal. It’s cultural and genetic Communism.

Nation states who create their own laws and uphold their own borders constitute “discrimination” and an obstacle to this new Utopia, and will gradually have to be dismantled, starting with Western nations of course, replaced by a world where everybody has the right to move wherever they want to and where international legislation and human rights resolutions define the law, upheld by an elite of — supposedly well-meaning — transnational bureaucrats managing our lives.

Another definition for amnesty - when the original penalty is not enforced.

Why would Sen. Lindsey Graham push for this bill since it would only cost him votes and it is obviously bad for the USA?

After the speech, Graham said he was booed on immigration because "it's an emotional topic. People are mad."

You know, I used to actually respect this assclown.

The dipwad doesn't even know that "immigration" has nothing whatsoever to do with why he was booed, and it's NOT an emotional topic.

Shameless sucking up to lawbreakers and their liberal allies IS.

The man does not deserve to be a US Senator.

Even on some “conservative” sites, I’m being told that this is “not” amnesty.

Well, it isn't amnesty. It's just putting America on sale at bargain prices. Back in the day, you had to jump thru many hoops and wait a decade or more to come to the US. Now you just have to claim to have been here for 5 months (get a friend to print you up a phony paystub or two on his laser printer to prove it) and pay a little money and you're in. The only losers in the whole business are the dolts who still bother to follow the rules, and who wants those people anyway? Damned law-abiding nitwits.

“If you are low on ammo, the time to buy it is now.”

You got that right. Ammo is going up in price all over. I have stocked up a lot but have a hard time with all the practice I’ve been doing.

Been looking at practice rounds from Cabelas but for the good stuff this article is a must have reference for defense rounds.

“I sent him a message...opposing this. No response to date.”

You ungrateful, ignorant peasant, you. ;^)

Don’t you realize that Lord Graham Flimsey Tinkerbelle does not deign to reply to those who disagree, or whose missive fails to state, “check enclosed”?

No luck here, either. But I can’t wait ‘til his reelection mailings go out. From me there WILL be a reply.

The liberal media,Savage, and people blame the corporations and the GOP for everything in the world while the liberal Democrats get a pass.

Corporations or employers don't benefit from this Amnesty bill. After Amnesty employers will have to pay 30 million illegals union wages at $30 per hour. I thought the smear against companies was that they wanted cheap labor?

I don't think it's corporations that are ruining everything and corrupting people but it is liberals/socialism that are ruining everything. I think liberals are part of a socialist/Marxist cult. They will act many times against even their own self-interest supporting failed policies like Socialism in order to achieve "equality" and to "save their planet Earth". Just like Muslims don't act for profit when they blow themselves up as do liberals behave irrationally for their ideology.

Socialism doesn't work as proven by the USSR, Cambodia's killing fields, Eastern Europe, Cuba , N. Korea etc. Capitalism does work and doesn't lead to corruption.More government leads to corruption. Corporations like Intel,UPS and Walmart are advancing technology which raises living standards.

If it were true that money drove all the bad legislation then why are Exxon and Walmart being oppressed the most by government? Walmart and Exxon have more money than anyone but they are under attack.

Companies are being sued, regulated, taxed and can't do anything like build refineries because of environmental groups and regulations. But we keep hearing that they are the puppet masters. Seems to me they are the victims.

I think Graham , McCain, and Kennedy are liberals, cult members who believe in this radical ideology even against reason and logic. And Graham may be also McCain's cabana boy. And they are pure evil too.

Kickbacks from big business who want a continuing supply of cheap labor.

We may be witnessing the death of Representative government in America.

Isn't that the goal the Democrat/Marxist/Liberal/Socialist in this country have been devoting all their time and energy to accomplish?

And if the Conservatives lay back like they did in the 2006 elections and do nothing about stopping it the Democrat agenda will have accomplished it's goal.

We MUST fight tooth and nail to stop this movement and the only way to do that is with screaming the truth loud and clear over and over and over again. We must shout down the lies instead of turning the other cheek. There can be no wimpy tone in politics on the Conservative/Republican side.

By the way, Chambliss and Isakson were bot booed when they tried to convince a crowd in Georgia that they knew best and the people “just didn’t understand”. We understand alright, it is time for us to have a clean sweep and get rid of the herd of RINOs!
