KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - In a powerful demonstration of the way the Internet has opened up the mainstream media to intensive second-guessing, bloggers are charging that news outlets have ignored the rape and murder of a young Knoxville couple because of the racial implications of the story.
The two victims were white; the five defendants are black.

That was done and settled. Absent a time machine or divine intervention, there is no way those documents could possibly have been genuine. And they all know that, but they can never admit it.
This article is just another lame-stream, mealy-mouth attempt to blather over what everyone with half a working brain cell knows is the truth.

On Saturday, January 6, 2007, Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went on a date from which they would never return. On their way to the home of another couple, they were carjacked and kidnapped. Over the next 24 hours they were beaten, gang-raped, tortured, and murdered.
If Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom had been black and their killers white, everyone in America would know their names. Because they were white and their killers are black, their fate has been shrouded in a thick silence that has given rise to a host of gruesome rumors. Their story highlights the strange and twisted nature of race relations in America.
The men who kidnapped and killed Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom have not yet gone to trial, so they are theoretically innocent. This account is based on documents filed in federal and state courts, and on sometimes-vague allegations in news reports......

The details of this case are horrifying: rape, torture, and murder in a medieval fashion. All five defendants should get the death penalty immediately upon conviction.
I caught that as well. You're right, they'll never admit it. But, this is msnbc afterall.
The 'suspects' dumped the 4 runner about 4 hours after they carjacked them. The media keep trying to tell people that it was simply a carjacking that went wrong. It wasn't. I believe what they did to that poor couple was their plan all along.
If they poured bleach down her throat to get rid of DNA, why didn't they also clean out her vagina and rectum? They found DNA in those areas. Again, I believe the bleach was another form of torture.
They can’t show the original typed and hand signed documents because they are computer generated forgeries.
The “experts” pointed that the signatures matched. Easy to do with digital cut and paste. Not so easy to do with a ballpoint pen.
You don’t hold “carjacking” victims prisoner. You don’t rape women AND men if it is suddenly a case of finding a hot babe in the car.
You don’t ditch the vehicle shortly afterwards if your goal was to obtain the vehicle.
This was a coordinated act of racial humiliation. A vile hate crime and perhaps a gang initiation.
That's what sticks in their craw. 'WE terrify the lsm. They can't get away with what they once could. We're able to check out their stories and bring others to the light of day and they can't handle that.

Oh how I agree with you on that. To do what they did to human beings, they are animals that's for sure.
I don't know how we are going to learn about the trial facts when the media won't report on the crime.
Nearly every article I've found on this subject, 'white supremacist' is somewhere in it. It's their way of making this look like the only ones who care about this story are racists. It seems a lot of outlets wouldn't touch this story with a ten foot pole. They don't want to be seen as racists.
Yet some arrogantly believe that if they understand the "why", they will be able to prevent evildoers from perpetrating their acts of violence. I'm mostly content to understand that free will, since Eve handed Adam the apple, is enough to enable violence, and leave it at that. Some might consider this outlook too simplistic.
That part of the story bothered me from the very beginning. Her other body cavities were full of dna. It was torture, otherwise her entire body would have been cleaned, not just her mouth. Lord bless that poor woman.
As evil as the five defendants are the Clarence Darrow-type lawyers who are going to defend them by saying “oppression from whitey made them do it.”
Leopold and Loeb’s rich parents bought their sons’ way out of the death penalty by hiring Darrow. Al Sharpton will probably use his wealth and influence to hire attorneys for these defendants. People like him are the true race hatemongers. I don’t even think these defendants should be charged with hate crimes - just charge them with murder, convict them, and give them the death penalty.
